I think you’ve got a great trio but if you wanted to change it up a bit.. sell the Explorer for an Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch?

Stick with it. The BLNR is exciting enough. Great collection.

Great trio! If you really need to flip one. maybe the Exp for a 16570 or 126570 Exp II polar? A white dial would add some diversity.

So... only Rolex? Yeah, boring. How about one Rolex, one Omega or Panerai, and one wildcard crazy fun timepiece.

Nice collection. If you enjoy it then keep it. If you aren't sure, put your least favorite in a safe or drawer for a month and see if you miss it.

Keep the three that you have, as you said, they are iconic and if you bought them because you liked them (not because of seeing sexy pictures of them on TRF), then you like them enough to keep them.
Here is a thought (something I did myself)... to add some fun to your collection, venture out of Rolex... go look at some affordable Seikos (PADI turtle, STO samurai, etc.) and play with those a bit.... or better quality at a bit higher prices (Oris, Longines , etc.) and see. You buy / sell those with minimal loss, and you get to play and really find out about your playful side. You never know, perhaps the current collection is a true representative of your personality.

Speedmaster & Reverso
Still icons of other brands, yet add a variety of styles.

I have similar collection as yours sub, exp 1 and blnr. Added two tone daytona and got bored with it real fast and eventually sold it. I added OP which turned out to be a good move because somehow exp1 and OP has become my go to watch for most occasions. I've been adding and selling other watches but left the 3 core alone because I haven't really seen any watch that would be a better substitute within similar price points.
Adding other watches is fun while you are hunting for them but after that I tend to lose interest with most watches fast and wind up selling or trading them out. |

Your collection isn’t any more boring than anyone else’s.
I have a Sub, a Speedy, and an Apple Watch. I never consider it boring. I’ll eventually add a 3rd mechanical. That’s all I want and need. I really love the Apple Watch too. I wear that when I work out and it also serves as a beater watch too, but that was never the intent when I bought it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Watch collection is a personal journey... and definitely not a destination.
Its ever-changing, and never complete. Ur watch collection will reflect who and where u are in life. (2cents) It sounds like u r ready for a change. Personally, I don’t like to look for a “next” watch ‘just because’. It should happen more naturally imo. You know.. “u just see something and u can’t forget about it.. u must have it” feeling? I had no plans to buy a pam690 last week. But it just happened. Lol It’s not an impulse buy tho, since I had my eye on that model for few years already. Good luck on ur journey Btw who cares if the watch is iconic. Only thing important is now u feel about the watch. Period.

I don't think it's boring. Those are all very iconic Rolex watches. My watch journey is similar to yours.
First I thought I would only ever want one Rolex, so I got a super plain, all-around daily wear Datejust II white stick dial. Then 116500LN came out and I was determined that I was ever going to have TWO Rolex. Then I got my Diver's license and was like, man, I need me one of those iconic Subs to celebrate. I thought my 3 watch collection was complete. Then I began to feel like there wasn't any color, and began brain-washing myself with that "Land Sea Air Trio" concept and bought a 116710BLNR. It goes on and on... I just want more... now I'm at 6 watches, and I think I'll finally stop for a while.

Great collection for what it is, but to me the GMT is the best utility watch of all three with the most function and never trade or sell that. You have either have two choices after that in my opinion. Either sell your Explorer because it's basic and has100m water resistance or sell your no date Sub.
My advice is keep the GMT and Sub because both resell very high. Sell the Explorer for something funky like a Milgauss, a DateJust, or 2020 Stella OysterPerpetal. But if you are really bored. Just change the bracelets straps. Black dials can get stale to look at. |

It’s not quite the „Oh great, that guys knows how to open the instagram app“ collection, but kinda close.
Swap the explorer for a Nomos Metro power reserve, and you’ll have a few splashes of color and something that shows individual taste ;-) Also, to me Nomos has a friendly image and positive vibes, as opposed to the three frustrating rectum brands Rolex, AP and PP (we are not allowed profanity here, are we?) |

A Sub, a GMT and an Explorer. Nothing wrong with that IMHO. Only change I would consider making is perhaps the Explorer for a Daytona. Its what I have but I am not you and its your selection and your choice that counts for you.

Pretty standard Rolex SS trio, if you want to jazz up from that then look at TT, PM or AP etc.

Down to you- are your watches boring- no, are you bored by them- sounds like it.
If those were my kinda similar watches- then yes, which is why I don't own them. But then I have the attention span of a gnat so there's that.... I like mine to be very different ie, my GMTs are an Explorer 2, Grand Seiko 201 and a Sinn 144- dive watches are a Fifty fathoms, a blue Bathyscape and IWC 3723 and my "smarter" watches a 50's cased Pam 328, IWC big pilot and Radomir cased Pam 214. Some are on bracelets, some on straps, some are brushed, some are titanium, one is gold Each looks pretty dissimilar from the next, so wearing a "different" watch feels very much like wearing a different watch

Your collection is SOLID!! Please don't sell any of them. You'll regret it.
I would add other brands such as Omega, Tag or Seiko. Or consider micro brands too. Good luck and enjoy your holidays!!

Swap the BLNR for a 16710 and you’ll have the perfect Rolex trio.

I have very similar collection (if considered as collection)
Rolex GMT 116710BLNR Rolex Submariner 16610LV Rolex Explorer 14270 and Omega Snoopy Award 2003 I used to sell the Explorer 2 times and still bought it again. Sold Explorer II 16570, Daytona 116500, Gmt 16700 (2 times) and Grand Seiko Gmt (2 times), Tag Heuer Monaco. I found myself attached with Rolex more. May consider TT Datejust if I need something more bling Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
