So how long before the Daytona gets the Supercase treatment?
Hey guys,
from what we've seen at Basel this year, it looks like Rolex is going to continue the trend of increasing case widths to make their watches appear "fatter." So how long do you think before the Daytona gets the "supersize me" treatment? I photoshopped a quick and dirty version so you can visualize. What do you think? Personally, I like the current lugs/case size better.

Daytona needs a date and less fussy dial. If supersize does this then I will buy another daytona but saying that I have the current V series and I think it looks great!

I agree as well, NO date and NO Supercase for the Daytona.
Leave it as is, If it ain't broke then don't fix it. |

I think you should try and integrate a date on that as well. It may help with the nausea.

My hope is that Rolex will offer the stainless Daytona with solid subsidiary dials of the type available on the yellow gold Daytona. I do NOT care for the busier solid dials on the new rose gold model. The super case might be out of place on this reference as would be a tacked on date. I long for my three stainless Daytonas from the 60's and the 70's. When sold years ago they brought around $700. for the three. I'd like them back but don't have the spare 100 grand to rediscover them. And that is the way of the world.

Yes let's hope that they leave the daytona alone and please stop putting diamonds and gems all over everything.
On the Rolex website you can go from sheer exileration to abject horror in one click. I know everyone has their own taste but all of those diamonds sure make an Air-King look nice.

I guess they will upgrade the Daytona case about the same time they upgrade the case on the YM

I'm not for the supercase. But then I haven't owned a supercased Rolex yet. And please, leave the Daytona alone.

Hope they do a dial with just Rolex and Daytona on it and get rid of that 4 line novel, no need for it.
