I lied to the wife..again.

She and the kids had a bunch to do this weekend and could not go down to the doublewide. I told the wife I had a loft of work to do at the doublewide and the cabin so I left this morning. She gave me the eye and I told her I would be back tomorrow (Sunday). I lied. Other than fishing, which I did this morning, the real reason I came down was to put this in the doublewide without her knowing. She likes this kind of stuff and I bought it last weekend and have been hiding it. Hope she likes it. Me, give me a beer crate and beer and I am happy.

I did and he said one of those. The wife likes early American, I like early redneck. Two concrete blocks and some OSB works for me. Well, I also need a fridge.

I am more than ready to give the wife some old wood, and it don't cost me a thing.

Joe, it looks antique. I love corner cabinets - and it fits that little corner perfectly. What's Melissa going to put in it?

It still has the original lead glass, but the glaze has been redone and not to my standards. I will re-glaze tomorrow to make it look correct for the period. Man, I need a life or another hobby of some sort.

Beautiful

That appears to be either Rosewood or Flame Mahogany. I can't really tell by the photos, but I am guessing the later.

In the 1980's I owned an antique restoration business in Texas! Had a great time.

Yes, I thought brazilian rosewood or walnut. Leaning toward the rosewood though. Looked too dark for mahogany to me but what do I know.

The mahogany darkens and becomes less red over the years and it becomes difficult to tell them apart until you see the piece up close. You could be very right.

That's one of the nicest interiors for a double-wide I've ever seen. Just hope a tornado doesn't come through to get that. They're like magnets for those things.

But seriously, that's a really nice trailer. My girlfriend in highschool lived in a double-wide and it wasn't even close to looking that good. That's better than a lot of houses I've seen.
