I say 2, while acknowledging that lighting matters. I had a 1 and a 2. This looks more like 2.

Enjoy your watch!

Could be a Mark 1 or Mark 2 depending on lighting.
If you want a "stronger" opinion, please post several pics under different lightings

Photos under different lighting conditions would help. I would lean Mk. II. Mk. III is significantly darker, I is significantly more pastel. This looks like it should be II.

Did anybody compare in detail if the numbers on the inserts are slightly different in size or form? Sorry if that was already answered somewhere else, I did not search for other threads yet.

Below is an example for light conditions, which even optically changes the red insert part (area 6 to 10) into a light blue!

A very small tilt of the watch under identical light and camera conditions gives you the following image

Last of a short photo series with identical settings except the viewing angle

Of course I took all photos with the same watch (bought in October 2018) and the same insert.
Yours is definitely a Mk. II. If you ever held an old black dialed 116719BLRO, you will know Mk. I when you see it. Mk. III is darker than what you have, so yours is definitely II.

I heard people mentioning that it's all small variation and not just I, II and III, however all older watches (WG black dial BLRO and early jubilee BLROs) are Mk. I and all watches I saw that were bought new from around end of 2019 are Mk. III. So I would lean towards it being change over time.

Shit, these things had MK1 / 2 / 3 ??

I miss the forum for a few months (don't you hate it when work takes you away from fun)... and these things got MKx versions now??

Mine is the latest one, so mine must be a MK3 then... but where is the thread that explains the differences?

Padi is an expert at determining them...

The threads were locked on this back when it was discovered there were different color variations. It was brutal convincing TRF members that they existed.

Appears II to me. Not light and pastel enough under bright lights to be I; not dark enough to be III.

It’s definitely Mk $. You’ll get more of that from when you bought it.

Have to agree its been posted there is now a MK4 insert following shortly by Mk5/6/7.And to the original poster just enjoy your watch regardless of the MK stuff which only exists in internet land. Wear it in good health thats far more important than all this INTERNET Mk stuff..

Mark 2, best of both worlds between Mark 1 and 3 =)
Not too purple/pinkish nor too dark blue/red
