Day-Date 18238 Dial and Quickset or Double Quickset
I am thinking about getting a YG Day-Date ref. 18238. I am partial to the black stick dial (I have already done a diamond dial with a datejust). And also I am thinking Double Quickset. Would appreciate some people weighing in on this.

The Double Quickset is the way to go. The 3155 movement has been used by Rolex since 1988 and is still in use today in the current model Day-Date. 21 years is testament to the quality of the double quickset movement.

I have a single quick....it's a pain unless you keep the watch running....there's always going to be the same 7 days in the week so even if you don't wear it but have it running you will only ever have to adjust the date which is the single quick as you know.......if it stops you have to set both date and day........setting the day is enough to give you serious hand cramp!!!!.....I hate having to do it because I have a single quick and I don't have a fancy "keep it running" box to store it in so it stops after a couple of days of inactivity......still, I don't have to do it that often so I can put up with it.....your choice but whatever age or dial variation it's an icon of a watch.......
