Radial 1675 GMT Inquiry
Hello Everyone!
I was looking into Radial Dial 1675s and stumbled across these two. Was wondering what people thought of them and if they were worth buying. Thank you for taking the time to read through my post and providing your input. http://www.thillier-time.com/portfol...dial-full-set/ http://www.exoticwatches.net/all-wat...d/#prettyPhoto |

The cases for both look overly polished IMHO, but I am not an expert on this. I say that (first part) because the crown guards on the Thillier time option look asymetric and soft. they almost look like PCGs from the side. Although the sides are not too bad but have probably been refinished. On the other option, exotic watches, the lume looks very yellow, which is not to say that I have not seen examples on this site where that is correct. It has always been a little too much patina for my liking but there are certain years where this seems to happen. Not to mention the red arrow, which is entering blueberry territory as 1665fan pointed out. But again the case, specifically the profile. On this one, it looks like they shaved the tops of the lugs down a bit too much. Lug hole positioning looks off. Even looking between the lugs at the serial number, the angle on the lug to either side seems wrong. Wait for the real experts but thought I would give my .02. Good Luck!

Yeah, I'd have a hard time paying that much, but that's what they are going for.

It's amazing how these collectors love to add the red 24-hour hand to these radial dials. It's comical and not original.

Thank you all for the feedback!
I think neither of these sound right then... One has a doubtful hand and the other seems too polished. Maybe one day I'll own a radial dial but that's definitely not today>.< |

I love the Mk3 dials on 1675, my favorite combination is with "Allred" 24h hand too.
I see you guys are not big believer of the "Allred".

I love that combination, I was believing that expert were taking it as service hand for military watches.
From my side I had a 1675, MK-2, with Allred hand and it has been serviced by Rolex many times without a complain. Usually they remove any unofficial part. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

There was an official Rolex Japanese brochure that featured one all red Gmt hand and that was for sale on the VRM a few years back.

Lee,
I remember that. And I personally had a couple of serviced Watches with no problem. One dear friend services a Blueberry in Geneva, no problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
