Do you fiddle with micro adjust on 5 digit Rolex?

I've noticed that I'm always changing my micro adjust on my 16710 and my 14060m. Usually between the same two holes. I like my watch to fit just right where its not too tight or flopping around my wrist.

I used the gidelock on the newer subs and man what a great idea. Do you guys find yourself adjusting your watch every now and then or do you typically leave it on one setting?

I end up adjusting maybe a few times a year, especially between when temperatures outside are going between warmer and colder.

I also have a 16710 and a 14060M. I adjusted the micro just slightly loose and I've never had to do any re-adjusting.

Same, the temp keeps changing in my area right now. But typically during a season I leave it on one setting.

In the first couple of weeks of ownership and nothing after that really.

Maybe once in two years on my 5 digit Submariner and I’ve probably used the easy link in my Explorer once a year.
It’s not really an issue for me, I’d take a smaller clasp over the glide lock clasp.

I use the easy link on my BLNR daily! A friend of mine who has lots of Rolexs told me how practical his glide lock was before I bought my first ever Rolex and that I'd use my easy link, I didnt believe him at the time but now I do...really just another reason why Rolex innovation makes the watch even more comfortable!

During the cooler months, I use the five digit bracelet on my 16570. Using the half link and microadjustment I was able to find the right fit. It is a very comfortable bracelet.

In the hot months I put it on a glidelock bracelet. The temperature can vary by 30 degrees in the day, plus I am more physically active outside when there's no snow on the ground. The tool-free microadjustments come in handy in those conditions.

I fiddled the the Glidelock constantly when I had one. I could never get it comfortable.

My 16710 and 16600 I never adjust anytime ever. I’m not sure why. Those bracelets are much more comfortable.

Once I got it right, almost never. One time I spent two weeks in Hawaii and by the end of the trip, between exercise and heat I loosened the bracelet up one hole.

Say what you will about the old bracelets but they are comfy.

When I owned 5 digits, I’d set them a bit loose.

One of the advantages is that they are lighter wearing watches compared to modern 6 digits, and you can get away with wearing them looser YMMV

My 14060 is my summer watch for this reason. I keep it at one setting and don’t mess with it

I used to adjust the micro-setting all the time when I first had my 14060, but after a while I found the slightly loose fit to be perfect for most occasions and never changed it again.

What Brian says up there is true ^^ the lighter weight allows them to wear more comfortably than a six-digit when it’s a little looser.

I rarely if ever adjust the bracelet on my 14060M.

I wear my watches pretty loosely, though.

Have a 16570 and a 14060M and use a glidelock (clasp only) on the both of them for this very convenience! And since there is no rivet attached link on the glidelock I can get a balanced four links on each side of the clasp to accommodate my circumferentially-challenged wrist. The drawback of course is a step up in clasp thickness and slight increase in clasp footprint but it's worth it to me!

That's the beauty of a glidelock if you need a quick adjustment on the fly so quick and easy.

Not much. I found a good fit in the middle position on my 16710. The nearest holes on either side are usually too tight or too loose. Luckily my wrist stays pretty much the same independent of the weather.

Once I got the micro adjustment set on both my 16710 and my 16600... I never touch them.

I sold my last 5 digit a couple days ago. If it didn’t fit I used to ten to just wear something else it’s a pain in the arse my wrists swell and shrink slot over the course of a day it was a real pain in the arse sometimes it’s so uncomfortable.

Easy link is good I adjust probably 3/4 times every day. Glide lock is obviously the best, if not overkill.

You can always buy easy link and install it on 5digit clasps

You can also try adjusting the blades within the clasp to fine tune the fit. A good AD should be able to help you do this, but it is just case of applying pressure to bend the blade slightly inwards or outwards dependent on the adjustment you are looking to make. Rolex used to recommend this approach as a way to improve the fit of the bracelet. The introduction of the easy-link adjustment was one of the main reasons why I started to move away from the five digit references to the (then) new six digit models in the 00s. To my mind one of the best innovations ever introduced by Rolex

I concur.

I had a great PM exchange with @HankSolon about fitting an early DeepSea glidelock on my 16600 as it's a drop in.

Since I couldn't find a glidelock clasp, and just entire bracelets, I ogled the new to me 2021 glidelock clasp equipped DeepSea that I picked up a couple or so weeks back.

It seems to be a technological improvement, but at the end of the day, I believe I'll be sticking to my 93160, especially after @Jmbarrack showed me the finer points of sizing/links/pins.
