Datejust 41 blue dial

I’ve just removed myself from the GMT BLRO waiting list and changed to the Datejust 41 queue, does anyone know a rough timescale in the UK? Thanks

I totally agree, I was on the list for a GMT for 2 years where I have made previous purchases, but to be honest there’s so many GMT’s about now, they seem a bit too ‘common’ they have lost their appeal to me

I’m on a similar track - been waiting for a BLRO to scratch the ‘jubilee itch’ but more and more I’m finding myself drooling over the DJ41 blue. I started out many years ago with a DJ and, whilst it’s been overshadowed in recent years by its ceramic cousins, I’m starting to think it’s all the watch I need.

Passed on a DJ 41 blue face, fluted bezel and oyster bracelet yesterday in Fargo,ND. Love the face and bracelet, not a fan of fluted bezels. First time I’ve seen the blue and was knocked out. It’s gorgeous

I think they are readily available still. WoS in Canary Wharf had a white dial in the shop window roughly around Dec 2020 when I was there. You can swap for the dial out for like £300 if you really want it blue.

I think it’s a great watch. It’s probably the only dressy Rolex I could ever get. I was offered one recently too. Today I will see it in person to think about it.

Got a 41 blue smooth jubilee last month. 1st Rolex. Bought the wife a white/date for Christmas, went to AD to get warranty card. While waiting is saw a 36 blue in the case. tried it on and liked it except for the size, just a little to small. I told SA if you ever get a 41, call me figuring the request for a sub and GMT would never come. 3 days later she called... never planned on buying another Rolex so soon and really not a dress watch guy. But I'm glad it got it. If I ever get a call for the other 2 watches great - if not, I am perfectly happy with the DJ.

The DJ41, blue dial, jubilee bracelet, smooth bezel may be a tougher watch to get since Joe Biden is wearing it. He signed the Covid bill with it on yesterday.

If he was wearing a Daytona the aftermarket would add $10,000........

I managed to get one quite quickly after registering, within a month. I waited six months for the rhodium dial which I found surprising as I thought the blue was higher in demand. I think it's just luck of the draw as to when they come in and how many are registered for it at that particular AD. The blue is a great piece though.

Bought DJ41 Blue fluted on Oyster here. I ordered the Jubilee brcelet as well from the AD. One head, two bracelets. It's a deal if you are comfortable changing between Jubilee and Oyster at home. Totally changes the watch.

I think you have the blue Azzuro dial. It’s easier to obtain than the normal blue stick dial.

How easy is it to do? I was quoted a really reasonable price from the AD and also like the idea of changing the strap. Is like having a different watch!

It’s like anything, easy if you know how.

You can buy the correct tools and carry out the change at home.

I didn't even know there was different blue to be honest. Just told them I wanted blue with Romans fluted and jubilee. And didn't expect the call in under two weeks.

No no, you did well to get it in that timeframe.

It’s just that the blue dial with sticks has a much longer wait time.

Sure, sure. Been saying that for eight years...if it didn't crash this past year, it's not likely to going forward...as you wishfully
think of getting one cheaper (along with everyone else) more and more people are coming into the marketplace...

Reality is what it is. Pay or don't play.

So I've decided to get the same thing. DJ41, Fluted, Jubilee, Blue Stick Dial. I won't be ready to buy for another few months. Should I start looking around trying to get on lists now? I didn't realize there was such a wait for DJs

Haha you are absolutely correct there, although I leave it to Rolex themselves to butcher my watch whilst carrying out basic requests.

I have no knowledge of wait times in the UK, but I do know for certain the DJ41 blue is tremendous.
Hopefully you get it soon.
