Sorry Hans, I’m not waiting around forever. Non-Rolex incoming ... with pics

Last year I bought 3 PM watches from my AD. All at full retail. This year I can’t even get a call back when I leave a message.

Last week I visited another AD that I haven’t brought from. I was stopped at the door by the SA and was asked what I was looking for. I replied, a watch for me. She then told me that all they have is a single Celini which was on display in the window, and a few ladies djs. Needless to say, I walked straight out again.

I’m not hanging around ADs forever in the hope that they might one day have something to sell me. Therefore I decided to search outside of Rolex for my next piece.

And here it is .... Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time.

I’ve had it for 20 hours and i am blown away by it every time I take a look at my wrist. It is sensational. In some way I am happy that the Rolex shortage has lead to me to look further afield. And based on my my impression of VC so far, it won’t be the last time I do so.

Enough crap talk - to some pics!

Same.
I’m thinking that the overseas chrono blue dial will be my next.
Cheers

All VC watches are soooo much nicer than a Rolex, the quality and craftsmanship is on another level in comparison. The overseas line is fantastic, great choice.

Haha,
No doubt the people at VC, JLC et al would be struggling to hide their glee whenever a Rolex customer walks through the door.

Mine Panerai 10-days GMT PAM533 says hi....

I was not able to get a GMT-Master without any bundling or paying premium in Asia so I look outside of Rolex....so I ended up getting the Panerai this January 2021

Current collection: 1) Rolex Submariner 116610LV, 2) Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, 3) Panerai Luminor GMT 10-days PAM533

Very nice I recently had the same dilemma. Decided to go with a Rolex but I would love to get one of these in the future.

Congratulations That’s a beautiful VC.

Vacheron Constantin is having some well deserved interest from the watchfam lately.

Huge congrats!
And indeed luckily there are more nice available watch brands to buy. Sad thing is that Rolex as a company don’t care. They make their own policy and are not sensitive about other options because they know that the whole world wants a Rolex watch.
