Trade - Hulk for Sub & DJ41

Hey Guys,

I have been offered a hulk to trade for my 116610LN sub (2018) and DJ41 (126300) blue stick on Jubilee (2020).

Don’t think it’s a fair trade. How much extra cash should I be asking from the trader?

IMO - 'two for one' (Especially when talking Rolex watches) really has to be in your favour. If it's a great deal for *you*, by all means proceed.

I wouldn’t make this trade. You have 2 very versatile pieces that compliment each other perfectly. Wont be too long before you get tired of wearing a green watch all the time. IMO

you’d be trading your datejust for a green bezel and a green dial swap on your sub. Nah

Not gonna do it. I love LV but as others have said, you'll lose your freedom to choose which variants depending on your mood.

As a owner of the Hulk.....DO NOT do it. The green looks good when you initially get it but come back after 6 months and it doesn't look so good. Green is a color that gets tiresome much much quicker than black, blue etc...

Depends what year the hulk is?
If it’s a late one I’d definitely do it, much better to have one favourite or special watch than rotating two watches you’re not in to so much in my opinion

Hell no don’t do it.. Just because the Hulk is on a hype, and if you go back some years the Hulk and Sub were almost equal in price so it would be like you are giving the DJ away for free!

It depends on the money involved and what you want. If your numbers for what you have in the DJ41 and the Submariner LN are at least 10% less than the value of the Hulk then then I would be more interested. If the numbers do not work out in your favor then it has to be a purchase because you love the Hulk. The Hulk is a discontinued special model and the values are only going to go up over the years. I would do it if the money was right.

Absolutely not! You have 2 beautiful and classic watches that can be worn with everything.

I like the Hulk better than either of the others by far (and own one), but probably would not do it unless you'd have a pretty diverse collection remaining. I'm usually all about ending up with the single best watch in a trade, but this one is different.

Depends if you coveted the thought of a green watch face over 2 watches of identical quality and intrinsic cost.
If the resale value is number one priority then you may lose money with just the green sub depending on the condition of them. But the manic hording around those watches- as worn by our favourite TV presenters and celeb chefs on TV these days, is crazy imho.

Agree, I don’t understand all the hype, I didn’t like it before it was cool and I don’t like it now.

If it is a 2020 Hulk, esp with new card (i.e. last shipments of hulks ever made), I would do it in a heartbeat. Especially if the Hulk is a grail.

I just sold all my Rolex to fund an AP ROC (no regrets), and the only watch I didn't part with was my Hulk. Enough said.
