Rolex may be offering a bracelet purchase option, independent of the watch...
Posted on another forum but I wanted to share here. The details are sketchy and of course until confirmation, nothing is "real".
I like the idea of swapping out bracelets. Your thoughts? Here is a quote from the article: "...a brand representative has confirmed to aBlogtoWatch that for the first time ever, Rolex will be selling its bracelets to consumers independent of watch purchases." https://www.ablogtowatch.com/rolex-r...er-ii-watches/ My apologies, I didn't see that there was another thread already started.. disregard. I would definitely buy if it was cheaper but doesn't make sense to pay $2000 for a steel bracelet IMO

As a reference, the price for the 78200 is $2,300 cdn + tax. I'm sure that the 79200 will be in line with that or a bit more.
The 69200 is the same also, $2,300cdn + tax. But not sure if prices increased since last year - when I was quoted.

This makes sense on the current GMT's and SD's where the bracelet style is now optional.
Would also make sense for Rolex to just ship the watch case and let the AD fit the bracelet the customer desires. Or both for extra $$$ Why not offer a spring bar tool as well?! |

I had no problem ordering a Jubilee bracelet for my DJ41 that came stock with oyster bracelet. AD was happy to do it and they had it within a couple weeks from Rolex. No swap required. Didn’t insist on installing it or even seeing the watch.
No reason to think they wouldn’t do same for GMT and Skydweller now that both bracelets are considered stock configurations for those watches. At the time, jubilee for DJ41 cost was $1550. Not sure what they are now... Perhaps not the best value for a SS bracelet, but now I feel like I have two different watches that I can switch between at will. |

Maybe we'll also see the oysterflex bracelets being sold independently from the AD.....

Would be cool, I presume the end links will be more universal now.

The price seems reasonable to me.

Sell what you have and if you don't have watches then sell bracelets!!!! Actually not a bad idea to help add incremental revenue and profits to their income statements

I'd be interested in a Sub bracelet for my 'original' BLNR

I think ALOT of jubilee owners will want an oyster bracelet now. I think Rolex knows this and is preparing for those questions. I'd expect a boat load of people will buy oyster bracelets for their current GMT's. Id like having 2 bracelets why not right? People own multiple straps, why not bracelets too

Some older bracelets might be going for 1k but this is clearly related to the release of current models with new bracelet options. Anyway, if it’s possible I’m definitely buying a jubilee bracelet for my sky d |

I have one Explorer II new with a bracelet and later purchased a second one used on a strap. When I sent in the second one for a service a few years ago, the estimate included the recommendation/option for a new bracelet, which I authorized. It was not the exact type that would have come with it when originally sold as it had solid end links, but I'm happy with it.
Is this not Rolex selling a bracelet, or is this thread about being able to just buy a bracelet without there necessarily being a watch to go with it? |

I will be buying 2 oyster bracelets, 1 for BLNR and other for BLRO. Will be nice to swap them out for a new look every 2 or 3 rotations...

I enjoy putting different straps on some of my watches, like my 16570 and PAM1209. If Rolex sells the oyster bracelets, I will certainly be a buyer. Even at $2k it’s still cheaper and certainly faster than trying to beg for another watch.

I'd like to get a two tone Jubilee for my Sky Dweller, but I hate to think of what the price might be. I'm thinking around $2,500 USD.
