Rolex & Design Eras

Curious to hear posters' thoughts about Rolex and the design eras from which it draws inspiration. For example, I look at a Day-Date with a fluted bezel on a President bracelet, and Art Deco comes to mind. (I'm no expert by any means. I just read Wikipedia like any other neophyte.) What do y'all think?
