I’m deciding between these as well for my upcoming 40th, currently leaning towards the CHNR but there is no wrong answer

Not a huge fan of sport models in gold/RG (Other than Daytona)

I would say the DD 40 is the perfect RG watch.

GMT is easier to acquire at AD, D-D for this dial is very hard to get.

Get the one that sing to you.

For me D-D.

Have both. Day date if you don’t have one for sure, it’s a pretty watch.

Depends on whether you want something dressier or sportier.
Personally, in that price range, I would go for a Day Date.

I have both, and love both, but I'd have to say DD every day of the week, every week of the year. It's my favorite watch by far. And the CHNR is absolutely amazing, you can't go wrong with either one. It's just up to personal preference.

This would be good to know ^^^

Absent of knowing what’s already in your collection, my preference in PM would be the DD
