DJ41 vs. Milgauss Blue Dial
Hi All,
I'm looking to add a blue dial Rolex to complement my black sub date. I was wondering if anyone has seen both the milgauss z blue and DJ41 blue dials in person and can compare the two of them. Thanks, Vin |

The Milgauss is sportier, IMO. The DJ obviously has the date complication. I think the DJ with that deeper blue is the handsomer of the two.

I’ve seen both in person, and for me personally. I preferred the Milgauss in blue. I had the opportunity to get either the blue or white DJ 41 at that time, and left the store with the white dial.
I will say however even though I love the Milgauss, the DJ with its date function and slimmer overall design is probably a better all around watch for daily use. I just love the colors and uniqueness of the Milgauss and you see them so rarely.

Prefer the deeper blue of the DJ versus the one on the Milgauss

SeppiFrank, frankly I find the blue DJ to be very common although very attractive. It's the commonness that bothers me. I really like the uniqueness of the Milgauss! The fact that I'm an engineer makes it even more attractive to me. Make up your own mind however!!!

Do you want a smooth or fluted bezel? If smooth, I'd go Miligauss. Here's a fluted option for reference.

Milguass was too thick for me. Loved it otherwise.

The DJ will compliment you Sub nicely. That particular Milguass looks like a toy watch with the orange hand, blue dial, and green glass. Just too much going on.

Milgauss is something special. Date Justs are a dime a dozen and literally look like a Rolex caricature.

I will vote for Milgauss GV. The blue is different than other variants found in DJ, DD and OP, etc.

DJ41 vs. Milgauss Blue Dial
If you’re going for something safe, you like fluted bezels, you like the Jubilee bracelet, or you need a date, get the Datejust. It’s a classic and will serve you well.
If you want something unique, you like more vibrant color schemes, or want a watch with a special back story that suits your profession/ personality/ style, then get the Milgauss. There’s no wrong decision. Here’s what I chose It stuns me whenever I glance for the time. I also hear AC DC’s Thunder in the background every time I behold the watch. Or maybe that’s just my imagination. |

I definitely prefer the blue dial DJ 41 with the fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet and lume indices.
The z blue is really cool, but I’d go with DJ to pair with my sub. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

For me, Milgauss Z-Blue all day. There's nothing quite like it. It can go from deep blue to a turquoise sky blue depending on the lighting.
But then again, I'm biased as a Z-Blue owner. Get whatever you like the best.

Depends what DJ you are getting and what's the state of your collection. As most mentions Milguass is definitely sportier but DJ can be dressed up or down. So the answer is... Figure out what Ur missing and get whst YOU like that matches your lifestyle. Post pic when acquired :)

Either blue is very nice. For me personally, I’d go with the one that compliments, is polar opposite of, makes a different statement, etc....vs the Sub. Which for me = DJ41

I have the zblue.
But I have to say the DJ41 (which I don’t have) looks great. It is much less in your face. I do sometimes feel that the Milgauss is a bit “look at me”, which I don’t like in a watch (although you could say the same of any steel Rolex…) But again, who knows how much longer the Milgauss will be available in its current form, so maybe get that now? Seeing as you have a sub, no harm in adding something a bit less mainstream. |

For me easy decision. I don’t like the cyclops and don’t need the date so MILGAUSS!

Maybe it's because I'm an engineer, but I would go Milgauss no question
