Got one- Explorer 124270

Sitting here a couple hours ago minding my own business and my AD called and said, “I have a watch for you.” Last month I stopped by three ADs in my area and expressed interest in the new Explorer 36 in two-tone Rolesor. He said they unexpectedly received some new 2021 releases from Rolex yesterday and were busy today selling them. Feeling super lucky. I wore my 114060 Submariner in when picking it up. It took a bit getting used to the size difference but I love it. My wrist is a 6.75. I have a vintage DJ 36 and it has similar vintage proportions. Definitely harkens back to the Classic proportions of 1016 Explorer.

And here it is:

Enjoy! I actually do like how it looks the TT on this watch, I had a DJ 36 at some point and you do need to adjust to changing from a bigger watch but it really looks nice. Great piece you got!!!

Looks really great! I think that watch is much better in person than in images.

You are spot on. Once my eyes adjusted from the Sub I was sold. Wore it on the ride back.

Congrats, I was pretty vocal about not liking the two-tone at first, but I'll reserve judgement any further until I can see one in person. Either way, that's still pretty nice that you got one. Well done.

Thank you. It’s my only TT in my collection. Wanted something a little different. It’s not bling in person at all actually. It works real well with the 36 mm size.

Nice - congratulations! I have a 6.75 inch wrist as well and reckon 36mm or 39mm is fine on me. The 36mm looks good on you, I think any bigger than a 7 inch wrist and 36mm looks too small.

Cheers bud. Yes. I would have actually preferred the two tone version

I was told it is the first in US ( for SS ) and while I don’t care one way or another, I felt honored to have been called to come pick it up. Honestly I thought it was the Daytona that I have been waiting for when I got the call

Your two tone Explorer one is a lot more special though. First 36 mm two tone Exp 1 in USA!! Party on.

Congrats to OP. 36mm may not look too small on 7” wrist. I used to have AirKing and it fit nicely on my 7.25” wrist, it’s about the wrist shape. And AirKing was the old style, 34mm.

I think you are right about that. Have to try it on. Wearing mostly 40-42 sports watches it is a difference. But I find we are much more critical when we look on our wrists than the mirror.

That touch of gold looks great, extra special casual or dressed up.
