3. If I don't want it, pass it along to a Rolex-loving TRFer.

And now for the update...

First of all, before I even walk into the AD... based on the six pages of comments, I have a pretty good sense of what models are on the collective wish list of the TRF Community:

"Please get a [insert hot model here]!" Hot models = Batman, Pepsi, Daytona, Submariner, or OP36/41 with one of the harder-to-get dial colors, etc. No real surprises there. But that's part of the challenge -- getting a cool model and stealing it away from the flipper!

Now, I wouldn't call myself a VIP... but I'm definitely a known, vetted, and qualified Rolex lover. When I walk into the AD, the staff and management know me by name. So, I'm not just some flipper off the street.

After I walk in and the customary pleasantries are exchanged, it's time to get down to business. "What's new that you want to show me?"

AD: "We just received a shipment and it contains our first delivery of a new 2021 model. Interested?"

Me: Knowing that whatever they present I have to buy, I don't hesitate. I simply say, "Sure."

AD: AD comes back with the piece. "It's a XXXXXX, the first one we have received. Brand new for 2021. One of the first ones in the United States. It's yours if you want it."

Interestingly enough, this specific reference is NOT on the TRF Community collective wish list. Not a single person mentioned this exact model. And, it's not a piece on my wish list either. But, a deal is a deal. I said, "I'll take it."

I'm now in the possession of a brand new 2021 XXXXXX... but it doesn't have a permanent home. I'm purposely not sharing the reference number at this time... because I want to allow more time for SOMEONE/ANYONE to express their strong desire/love for this specific model in this thread. Please don't try to GUESS what it is. I want to hear from someone who sincerely wants this brand new for 2021 model on his/her wrist.

And that's where we are. To be continued......

I'm happy to respond to questions.
It doesn’t happen to be the new 36mm explorer does it?

Kudos to OP for keeping their word and buying it. I would love a meteorite OF daytona but doubt that's what it is. I look forward to see what this is.

It's one of these. Those two tone 36mm DJ's are really good looking.

The 126233 certainly seems like it would look interesting in person, not my style but interesting

If its a 326934 that would be insanely awesome (Black). Complications are amazing, and the clincher for 2021 for me is the Jubilee.

A very nice gesture to the community! Thank you!

I want to purchase a new Two-Tone Submariner 41 (126613LB) aka "Bluesy" with the white font on the dial. The local AD took my name, number but with no purchase history, I highly doubt I'll receive a call in the 3-6 month window I was given. I visited a grey dealer recently to check out this piece, only to hear "This is brand new just in from the AD" =(

Many thanks if you are able to help!

Anyone mentioned a 126613LB? Next on my hitlist. I'm getting rid of my 166710LN for one.

I’m only interested in 39mm discontinued pieces at the moment (OP white dial mostly), but 124273 would make a great 1st anniversary gift - help a guy bring it home! Lol :)

116519LN w/ meteorite dial. Would be amazing if so. On a list for a steel dial version before the announcement.

I'm going to visit a few Rolex stores THIS WEEK and I'm going to buy the FIRST piece I'm offered -- no matter what it is! And, if I love it, I'm going to keep it. If I don't 100% love it, I will make it available to a TRFer who wants it. I'll pay it forward to a Rolex lover who really loves the piece.

I'm up for the challenge. Will I be offered anything at all? Will I end up with a Datejust with diamond bezel? Will I get a YG Daytona? Who knows? If it's a nice one, I'll snatch it away from the evil flippers and release into the TRF universe - the home of all pure and Rolex-worthy watch lovers.

Edit: If you have a dream watch, please be super specific.
Kudos to you OP, but how do you know you're not forwarding it to someone who will flip it?
