New Sub / New Member / Old Story
My story with rolex started back in 1992 when my father bought a gmt master. I started browsing the little book that came(i think) with the watch.
Having seen all the watches i declared at the age of 12 that i wanted the sub date. This was repeated at every occasion(birthdays, name days etc) but my hopes were really high when i was turning 18. My father appeared at my door holding in his hand a watch....that resembled but was not the sub....... It was meant as a joke(a really cruel one). I kept it in my wrist for 3 or 4 years until i broke it and then stopped wearing watches until i could buy the one i wanted.. Finally 2 weeks ago i bought a 2007 sub date in mint condition from a reputable store(not authorized) with the 2 boxes paper...the lot. I always believed that when i bought the sub I would not want any other watch but reading this forum.....well i am not sure anymore(partly its your fault). I really think that i'll start adding watches at least a gmt2 and.....we will see. I also attached a couple of pictures of my father's 16753 and an older tudor. I would love some info regarding my father's watches as i have not seen any pictures of 16753 in here. Was it an unsucessfull model of rolex? Just to add that this forum was really helpful for me as a beginer in the rolex watches. |
