White dial Daytona vs blue dial skydweller

Being that they are going for about the same retail and grey market, which one would you get?

I've owned both; with my sporadic watch wearing the SkyD was wasted on me. It really shows it's worth as a watch when it can be continually worn and it's unique movement can be taken advantage. On the other hand I love the functionality of the Daytonas. Combine that with the large sizing of the SkyD, my choice will always be Daytona>SkyD.

I prefer Daytona. If a one watch collection then I could see SkyD winning.

SkyD. I find an annual calendar much more useful and interesting than a stop watch. Plus the Daytona wears small for me - but it’s a great watch and if I could get one at retail I would.

Daytona - think it is the best looking watch ever made. The SD has really cool complications, especially for the price, but I think it is too big and the dial is too busy.

Blue skyD. And white Daytona is going for much more than it.

Daytona. Love the idea of the Skydweller but it’s just too much for me on the wrist. Big and busy.

I’ve got both and wear the blue skydweller more. I prefer it to be honest.

That said if they nudged the Daytona to 41mm or even 42mm then it would be the perfect watch :-)

Tough choice. I don’t like the blue dial and would personally choose the white or black over blue. But given the options I’d go with the sky dweller simply because I can’t stand to not have a date on my watch. Very different watches in every aspect. Another reason the Daytona in steel would be a no for me is because I would sooner pony up the extra money for a PM version.

Totally agree with this. I actually sold my Daytona because a) I just didn’t give it wrist time and B) I found it insane I could make 16k on selling a 12k watch I found in the end didn’t speak to me

I'd take the Sky Dweller (preferably black). But then again, I wouldn't be looking for a Daytona in the first place.

They’re completely different watches, so I don’t think anyone has to make a choice between the 2.

But when having to chose, I’d say Blue SkyD.

I felt the SS Daytona was a bit light so I got the WG one, it feels better on the wrist.

SkyDweller never did anything for me. It's nice piece and quite stunning in blue but I never connected, maybe it's dial I don't like. Daytona is always special. It's a legacy piece and cornerstone of any collection.

IMO

Sky Dweller

Daytona is small and become little more than a flex symbol
