Impulse Buy

While on vacation in Greece, I stopped by a Rolex boutique to see if by miracle they have some SS sports models in stock. Nothing but they have one TT Sky-Dweller. I have only seen this watch online, never in person and I thought it was nice but never really put in my wish list.

When I saw it in person, I just had to have it. Plus, the 24% VAT refund made it somewhat reasonable.

So, I bought it and it is home now with me.

Congratulations. Nice pick up.

The first TT white one I met in person had just come into my AD. I was dropping off my Z-Blue for a warranty repair. The classic right place, right time situation. Once it was in my hand it was impossible to let go of it.

A year ago next week and the honeymoon is far from over.

Great piece, I was strongly considering this watch before I bought another one recently. The 24% tax refund - no brainer!

Congratulations!

Did you receive the VAT discount on the spot at the store, or later at the airport?

Beautiful watch. Congratulations. My favorite piece and my only current Rolex.

Can someone explain to me what VAT is? I see a lot of talk about it amongst out of country buyers and how do you end up saving money from it?

Excuse my ignorance on the matter.
