GOLD SUB or Gold Daytona
I'm in the market for a FG sports model.
Totally torn between the 126618LN OR the 116508 meteorite Here's why ... Ceramic bezel!!! I'm very rough on stuff, clothes, cars, etc. Advice? |

I love it and support this all the way! But I guess how rough could you be with it on? Are you going to be trying to work on your car with it on? Just take it off lol. The bezel might look nice on the sub but then your PCLs are gonna be marred to bits anyway. |

To me Daytona is the ultimate sports watch, no brainer. Over sub always.
That meteorite is killer. |

Because your going for the Black LN Sub I vote Daytona.
If you said the LB Blue sunburst blue sub - well thats a totally different ballgame to me. That blue sub is just on another level in terms of beauty. Go see it in person you will know what I mean. |

The Daytona is a concern with the bezel. Actually sold one for this reason one smash of a door frame and it looks completely ruined in my opinion. Obviously is replaceable at a cost. However I do prefer the look of a gold bezel to a ceramic one. Fluted is my number one choice for pm models because it hides scratches very very well.

Go for the Daytona if you can get it. I’m hoping to get it an based on my 21 year old Daytona, they hold up well. I have never used mine as a daily but I do wear it a lot and as you can see from this photo, it’s held up remarkably well. I am careful but not crazy insane or leaving it in a safe…

I own a YG Sub 116618LB and a YG Daytona 116508 and when I want gold, I reach for the Daytona over the Sub 9 times out of 10.

I was going to pick the Black and Gold Sub, one of my favorite watches, but this Daytona is unsurpassed, a real beauty.

I hear that a lot but it wears great on my 7 inch wrist. I remember thinking how much bigger it was than my 36mm YG President of past years when I first got the Daytona…

Yes, I agree with you. When I saw this for the first time, I forgot all about the YG Daytona green dial I can’t get lol…

Do you have any preference for the function: diver vs chronograph?

I know you said full gold but I vote Daytona on oysterflex. It will be hold up best IMO.

Both are great, but the meteorite would be my vote.

Both are awesome but I’d go Gold Daytona simply because of the size.

They will wear differently from each other. So you may prefer one over the other depending on wrist size. If you are "very rough on stuff" then you could chip or fracture the ceramic but probably less wear than the full gold Daytona bezel, but, you will just bang up and scratch the rest of either watch.

Both are great but for me sub all the way. Use the timing bezel constantly. Mine is a five digit though. Just pick what you like best. No wrong answer here.
