That's crazy, when you get your next watch take it in and say, "Well you told me my LV was fake, so I went to another dealer and got myself a xxx. Maybe when I'm real old and due to retire I'll consider a Day-Date."

P.S. No offence to Day-Date owners (I like the watch.)

I say go with the Hello Kitty watch. Way more prestige with the 9 and under set! (Madeline has two, dontcha know...)

The subtext is that you could always obtain a gold watch but no matter how hard they try they will always be older than you (and this is what really motivates them to disparage your superb timepiece).

Lots of great support on this thread and in this forum. The thing is, you can't tell those snobs any of what's suggested here because it'll sound too much like you're defending yourself. The only way is if you got into a genuine watch discussion with them and could exchange opinions openly and in a civil manner. These people aren't worth the time. Don't even think of trying to justify yourself, they wouldn't understand. Class is not income-dependent; it's a mental state.

I only know one other person with a YG DD and his attitude is not snobbish at all. He's actually quite humble.
