Just arrived today

Today I received in the post a little present I bought myself …..

I bought an Explorer II 226570 with White Dial

It arrived just before mid-day and by 14:00 I was already at the London Rolex boutique to get the bracelet adjusted to fit me perfectly as I like.

I am loving the orange hand and the lume is outstanding ……. I used a torch this afternoon and locked myself inside a cupboard (I know that’s weird but I could not wait for nightfall).

Taken with some background light but the lume still blasts through easily.

Congrats! Have you ever owned the 216570? I am wondering what the differences are and if they are noticable

Congratulations.

Try getting a small torch with a UV function (I got one for £15 on Amazon) and prepare to be even more impressed with the lume on the Polar. A two second exposure is all it needs.

Hi Paul,

This is my First EXP II

I was told that the Lugs are slightly thinner (As on the other new sports models).

The angle of the bezel is steeper (Im not sure about that at all).

The Power reserve is now 70 hours. A BIG increase).

The percision is now +/- 2 seconds per day.

Congratulations, Charles! It looks great!

The new model is on my list. I like the new form factor. The changes are subtle, but I think they work well together and make the watch a better fit for me.

Congratulations! Great watch!
The changes are very minimal/subtle, and tasteful. I have one of each.

Congratulations. I have the previous model and enjoy the Polar dial. I have always thought the Explorer II was a sleeper in the line-up.

Congrats. Have been eyeing. Would you possible mind snapping a wrist shot from the top? And also your wrist measurements?

You will enjoy this watch, one of Rolex' most underrated watches and most functional if one travels.
