Got the Daytona c for msrp

Would you trade it for a rg ym?

I wouldn’t even trade my for a oysterflex daytona and I want the oysterflex Daytona. Parting with a 116500 would be very difficult for me

with the crazy price going with the ceramic daytona I honestly would. But probably for a PM daytona but it all depend on your collection the Yatch master is a nice and more unique than the daytona as well.

In the UK the person taking the Daytona C would need to be giving about £5-7k on top.

As a straight trade not a chance.

Daytona to ym rg

Oysterflex Daytona yes. Not the YM. I bet you'd regret that financially down the road if/when the YM is a $22K watch again.

I feel ym will stay around msrp, small premium and would do this trade if you fell out of love with the D5. I wear my rg ym more than my 116500, nice to have the heft and be less common

Depends: Did you acquire the Daytona because you liked it, or as a de facto financial instrument?

And: Are you looking at the RG YM because you like it or you like the idea of a PM and this is what you can get for your Daytona?

I wouldn’t do it personally since I don’t really like the RG YM. Now, a WH Pepsi or Sub and it’s a different story… (assuming I got the Daytona for the purpose of essentially getting 60% off a PM)

I've had both and actually went the other way around at one point.

NO

Have had it, sold it for another Daytona. If you’re wanting to trade up, trade up to the Daytona on OF as others mentioned. Not the YM. It’s a cool watch but I fell out of love with it quickly.

I honestly would do that trade in a heartbeat. The daytona is a great watch...but I tried the YM RG before buying my TT YM and its amazing, especially if it has the updated movement and the "mini-glidelock". If you are only thinking in terms of retail price comparison, you are getting an a great trade.

If you want a YM and found someone offering that straight trade then yes. Your equity is half the MSRP of a RG YM.
