Incoming straight from the Meatpacking District

Just got back from the Rolex/Tudor boutique in the Meatpacking District and managed to snag this stunner right here.

Compared to my GMT

And a whole lot of extras from a very cool sales person

No Rolex for me today. They seemed to have a good selection of Datejusts on a variety of bracelets and different sizes, colors, etc.

Congrats! I'm sure you'll love it. Nice score on the swags too. Please keep us posted on your patina journey with this beauty.

I got mine three weeks ago and have been wearing it for half of the time. It has developed a very mild patina, albeit mostly on the side of the watch that touches the skin. The "air side" is still more gold than bronze.

Thanks for the info. I am headed to the Caribbean next week so I am sure that will have an effect.

Not sure how many they had, but the salesperson told me they were selling briskly and would most likely sell out in the next few days.

Plenty of BB58 Blue and Black available.

Anybody in NYC want one... let me know.

Probably over 60 Datejusts here.

All the hot models sold over the weekend (private showings).

I wonder if they are hiring temp workers there just for the opening. Can these poor folks even make a living just selling rolex in long run if there are no rolexes to sell?

Pouch is a leather watch holder. Cube is a candle.

I'm on the list for a BB58 bronze in Melbourne. Although I'm excited about the watch, I'm not hopeful I will get "that call" anytime soon. Fingers crossed.

There are plenty to sell, they're just not selling them in the same fashion we're used to. Now the watches don't go to the case, they go to the safe.
Customers don't come in and pick and window shop anymore. Now you come in and play f&#@ f*&K games and pray they take you serious and put you on some list.
One day they may call you for a watch that "just came in"(was in the safe along) and you'll run down in desperation and appreciation that you could get anything and buy whatever it is. Stand around for a while, you'll see a steady stream of buyers coming in to pick up there watches by appts now. You won't see that by just hanging around for ten minutes and leaving.

Rolex has us crazy, and they're selling more watches than ever, just not like it was before where the customer had the upper hand. I think Rolex is probably the only brand in the world that has customers begging to buy any product they make. Two of the biggest ADs in Dallas had three watches on display between the two stores. One literally had just one 31mm mop dial two tone DJ with a diamond dial on display, the other had a similar 31mm DJ with white romans dial on jubilee and a DD pave dial, diamond bezel on display. Impossible they are paying rent and employee salaries with healthcare by selling one or two watches bi-weekly. At the one AD with just two watches on display; I was waiting for my watch to get resized(bought grey) and a customer came to pick up some kind of Daytona(it was a pm model) from out of town. I over heard them talk about shipping it to avoid taxes, not being a flipper, how lucky the customer was, etc etc...

Oh, congrats op...that's what I came here to say to begin with.
