It's Time - Going for my first Yellow Gold Rolex - Which one?
Gentlemen,
Help me choose among the YG Rolex offerings available please! My hot list: DayDate 40mm - Black dial Daytona - Black dial Submariner - Blue dial YachtMaster II is too flashy, GMT isn't offered. I haven't gotten the chance to try on any of them, as current times are very limiting for inventory naturally. Your input is appreciated! |

Daytona > Submariner > DD 40 will be my order
I think sports watch has better investment value than a DD40 which will retain but probably not increase much overall.

I've got both the sub and DD40. Honestly its a very very very very hard choice.

Only one of those I’d ever consider would be the DD. It’s just so classic in YG.
I prefer WG by a mile when it comes to the sub (and the Daytona). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Daytona black dial 100%.
Good luck finding one though unless you’re good with an older model. I’ve asked a few trusted sellers to source one with no luck for a few months now. |

Have you considered a SkyDweller? More easily obtainable in PM and looks awesome in YG!

If you’re 30+ years of age and do not have a dress watch I would do DD40. Nice to have for weddings etc.

I'd vote for DD. The DD40 is on a totally different level.

Isn’t it kind of dumb to ask the Internet to help you choose a $40K watch? Dude, you don’t have a mind of your own?

Don’t like the yellow gold/blue mix and wouldn’t want any Daytona

They're all stunning in the flesh, but the sub is the only full PM watch with the glide lock clasp, if that makes a difference.
In fact, I would go with the Sky D on OF before a DD or Daytona for that very reason, if it was my money. |

Day Date is the king, anything Daytona is special. Sub a close third.

The Day Date is the perfect watch. The YG/Black dial is classic, classy, and timeless. If only one YG you need to go DD

It all depends on what fits you. That list has variance in it. What watches do you already have? Do you lean more towards sports watches vs dress watches? Etc, etc, etc.
