Thanks for all of the feedback. And photos! Notice a lot of RG GMTs, and not many DJs....

Any other RG TT DJ folks out there?

Rolex Rose gold is so different then most you see in other jewelry. Not a fan of rose gold in general, but I love the Rolex version of it. Such a pretty muted version. The yacht master with the matte black dial’s and rose gold I think are stunning.

Rose gold has too much copper for my taste. To me it lacks the warmth of YG and the sheen of WG. I've seen a few models in the flesh, from the TT 126711CHNR to Breguet and VC dress pieces. I just can't seem to get used to RG. It could be my tanned skin on which white and yellow metals look the best. I've got the feeling pink gold would look better on fair skin for some nice contrast.

I don't have a preference. RG is warmer and seems to blend better with my flesh tones. YG is, well, gold. It doesn't blend with anything but it is beautiful.

The RG just looked that little bit ‘pink’ for my liking. I went with the original and classic YG.

The Rolex rose gold is one of the most beautiful tones in jewelry right now. You shouldn't hesitate if you have the chance to get a TT. Pictures don't do it justice.

Rolex RG is awesome and definitely my favorite PM. RG super warm with copper look vs pink and not flashy like YG. I own Plat, YG, WG Rolex also but nothing tops RG IMHO.

Wow, nice RG DJ41 above! Is that the sand dust dial? Got any other photos in brighter light?

Yes, it’s the Sundust dial, which throws colors from almost cream to grey depending upon the lighting. Here it almost appears rhodium.

Great photo! Great watch! How pink does the dial get? Does it ever appear gold?

I’ve never thought it looked pink, and the dial can take on a warmer hue but not particularly gold.

Love the Rose gold, in the TT format, and the solid gold reference.
Has a warm hue to it, almost to the point of a copper look.

It’s an acquired taste I guess. Only you can be the judge for yourself, but IMO, looks nothing like SS.

RG neither looks like YG nor SS. I don't find it attractive enough to own one but it stands out in a different zone.

Rose gold thoughts?

I own / have owned TT YG, TT RG, and full RG. I love them all, but Rolex Everose is really awesome. The TT Rootbeer in particular is very special and offers amazing contrasts. At the end of the day, you need to try each on and see what suits you best.

In saying that I'd always choose Yellow Gold if it was my first precious metal piece. Nothing better than wearing a full YG Rolex on your wrist. THAT feels like something real real special.

Bottom line is...you NEED to see it in person. It changes colors so much depending on lighting conditions so that it can look almost like stainless steel or like polished copper with many shades in between.

I have a steel watch, an all yellow gold watch, two tone yellow and two tone RG, and I wouldn't want to miss a RG watch in my collection.

Problem is seeing it in person since AD’s don’t have any on display. Perhaps your AD will show you one in the back that’s spoken for. I can only speak to the CHNR. IMO you will not be disappointed once you see it. Worst case if your AD calls you for one and it’s not what you expected you can humbly turn it down.. no harm.. or sell/trade for another
