It’ll be the new solar de must. I wanted the solo but that isn’t available any more. In a large size.

The size difference is gonna be huge. The solar de must in large size will fit like a vintage tank. The Monaco will feel very large due to its size.

Tough to tell, since, honestly, each of these watches has some serious strikes against it.

I don't really like the crown/button configuration on the Tag, while the Cartier is a quartz... If it was the auto version of the Must, I'd vote for it, while if it was the "original" Monaco style, that would get the nod.

My vote is Cartier...but these are such different watches. The Monaco is purely a chunky sports watch. The Cartier Tank can be worn with suits but they also look great with a golf shirt and jeans or a dress shirt and khakis.

Have both, the Tank XL with MC auto movement and Heuer Monaco Gulf. Verrrry different visually. If you wear more dressy clothing or suits then Cartier, the Monaco if you're more the sports n' casual type.

Btw, my Muse/wife wears the Tank XL on 'girly colored' leather straps. So the Cartier is a bit more versatile imho, if you need such options.

Are the Tag movements for these still sourced from Zenith? If so, might sway me further that way.

Not a fan of the Monaco case, and hence Cartier for me. Size then becomes the issues - keep the classic proportions or oversized based on todays tendency for a larger case

If you are thinking Cartier Tank, then I would probably also take a quick look at a Reverso.

Not new ones, yet get 'vintage' used if that's what you desire

What do you consider “vintage” in this context? Wasn’t that long ago that there were Zenith Tags… or was it??
