So many wonderful watches out there, Girard Perragaux, Glasshutte Original, etc. Why not take a hiatus from Rokex and explore other avenues until the current situation calms down, if it ever does.

No need to burn your bridges or encourage others to follow. Leave the door open.

He's left the door open by keeping the JC, effectively having one leg each side of the fence.

From now on I will boycott Rolex: Please join me.

My wife’s company gives out Rolex for achievements. She received 2 already. I would like to boycott but the other deal is too sweet.

The true “Rolex experience” is the waiting game depending on your spending. Nothing to get salty over.

I still like these watches. I am lucky to have some and hope I can get some more. I would boycott them why? I think I’ll keep waiting for the ADs I have communicated with to call. Until then, I can boycott Patek for being so expensive.

Sounds like your friend's AD is doing the right thing. I greatly appreciate and respect Rolex for cracking down and laying out policy that:
1. Helps prevent or limit flipping behavior.
2. Creates an environment where there is more equitable distribution of limited stock to their clientele.

I'm sorry to say this, but a Rolex timepiece should be special. These should have a meaning to them, marking an occasion, celebrating a milestone, lasting a lifetime, and serving as a beautiful, exceptional heirloom piece. Not something you hoard and throw dozens of them into a box that you put in a bank/safe/bunker/panic-room.

Maybe it's time to start hoarding something else.

Or, maybe your friend can move to Omega. You can add 20 of those watches to your online cart and check-out from their website, no problem.

Well said.

TLDR. It's the whole community I've gotten jaded from. I have one Rolex and that's that. Enjoy your watch.

I guess it would be more similar to The General Mills Foundation being the majority shareholder in General Mills.

So true. This thread and ”boycot” of ours is a sad joke.
It doesn’t matter anymore what we, the customers, do. Companies are ruling the people. We are just puppets.
There were the days when people were the power.
In Companies We Trust And Blindly Obey…

Good point!
And if you didn’t realise this already:
This whole thread is a joke, based on true situation.
No one cares anymore, Rolex has lost all of its interest on people. They are rude to AD’s and don’t give a f. on their customers.

Nope. I had my relationship of my own.

I have also an emotional bond on my crappy Stallone T-Shirt. The shirt and D-Blue are still massproduced things, even though I have some emotions to them.
