New Regulations!

To get my watch regulated, do I have to send it Rolex USA or can a local watchmaker with Rolex experience do it just as well? How much would it cost if I went the Rolex route?

My watchmaker is absolutely great, and charges me $25.
Watchworks in Portland, OR is where I go. My AD has terrible service.

I get mine done by a local grey dealer who has a Rolex service center of his own. They have 5 or 6 guys working there. Not bad when you compare this to Rolex Japan who have just 20 guys.

Perfect service everytime.

The $25 PDXROLEX has quoted is a very good cost.

There is usually no reason to send a Rolex to an RSC for regulation................

However, many Dealers will refuse to open a watch that is still under warranty unless they have a Rolex qualified watchmaker on staff.

Under warranty, there is usually no charge at an RSC... out of warranty and most of the time an RSC will only regulalte in conjunction with a full service.......

If you don't need a service, look around for a good watchmaker in your area.............many big name AD's have one on staff...........
