1978 1680 Bracelet
I recently purchased a 1978 1680 sub on Chrono24 and the dealer sent a bracelet that is a 78360 and an end link 593. I don’t think this is the correct bracelet for the watch but he is telling me it is. I think it’s a 93150 with a 580 end link. Can someone help me confirm this?

You are correct and the dealer is incorrect. 593 end links are from the 1980s.

Do you have a link to this information that I could share? Even though the 593 is from the 80s would it not fit the 1680? I assume it wouldn’t?

The seller sounds like a jerk. Sorry, but if you have the watch its a bit late to be checking these sorts of important details.

Luckily I have 14 days to return if I need to. He has said he was open to replacing it with the correct one. I just want to be able to show him which the correct one is.

If you do a google image search simply on 'rolex 1680' each result has 580 end links. So its pretty ballsy of your seller to refute this.

Bend them enough, and you can get these old end links to work on pretty much anything, but it's not correct and the fit won't be great.
The 593s were designed to go on the first of the sapphire Subs (16800), which have a different case shape to the 1680. |
