An honest and unbiased opinnion

While watching TV, I asked my 10 year old son whether he’d like to change watches with me.

His answer was short and simple: ”Why on earth would I do so? My watch is easier to turn (bezel) and has a day and date instead of only date. You can have yours and I’ll keep mine”.

Something to chew for all of us.

P.S. Of course my SD will be his some day

In all seriousness, hopefully he’ll be able to just buy a Rolex online as an adult.

It has a day a date and a chrono which is more accurate than a bezel!

There is an infinity of parameters. I wouldn’t touch the Seiko. It has horrendous design, is shaped in a non sensical way, comes on a 10 cents nylon strap and can’t seem to decide if it wants to be Babel’s tower or a triple whopper in height.

You can’t reduce the qualities of a watch to its complications list.
What a ridiculous and childish response. Not your first. The OP’s 10 year old has more sense and understanding than you.

One for the block list.

If you consider yourself a watch guy and don’t like Seiko you have missed the boat.

yea, some of the stuff this guy writes on here, he's a piece of work...

Do love the unfiltered mind of a kid, though. Let's see how long it takes for him to start warming up to the SD under your guidance, OP

Your son is wise beyond his years.
But since he appreciates the art of a complication, i feel sorry for your wallet in the next few years :)

I was showing my wife my black Submariner and blue Seamaster.

She kept saying they’re identical, but all I see is a blue Seamaster and a black Submariner that are totally different than each other.

She might have a point though...I'm more likely to get another diver than a dress watch...

I'm with the kid. I wear my SKX daily and my Rolexes not so much. A beater with a day/date is a wonderful thing (for me), and Seiko's dive watch heritage is excellent

Boy, I'd love to see his reaction when you tell him how much YOUR watch costs.

Less features for way more money. He'll probably think you hit your head or something, haha.

I love Rolex, Omega and luxury watches in general. I'll buy them and wear them until the day I die.

Let's be honest though, if someone was asked to do an objective analysis to determine what the best sport/tool watch is on planet earth, then the Casio G-SHOCK GSTB400-1A wins by a mile.
