Buying datejust from AD

So i was offered by ad datejust 41 126334

Oyster bracelet
Fluted bezel
White dial

I like more blue dial and jubilee bracelet but at this moment not available

Do you think i should buy white dial and trade or try to sell it and get the one that i like?

Thanks

DJ from AD should be easy to get within a few months. At least here in the US.

Blue is hard to come by here in Europe, actually any steel Rolex is almost impossible to get! Don’t buy it if it’s not for you wait until the offer what you want they will respect you for that.

If it’s not what you want don’t buy it.

Personally I was offered both the blue and white fluted on oyster and easily proffered the white dial. On the wrist today and doesn’t get much better.

That configuration is an absolutely gorgeous watch and IMHO one of the best looking watches Rolex makes. But, if it isn't what you want, let someone else have it who will enjoy it.

If you aren't in love with it. don't take it. You won't enjoy it, and hopefully if your AD is reputable it will show them you are even more interested in what you really want!

Just buy what you like. My concern in life is you need to ask here, how did you get the funds initially to be in such position?

Just have a go a red hot go without the approval of others, you will find it invigorating.

Why anyone would buy any Rolex watch combination they did not really want defeats me, its not like any DJ is extremely hard to get.

To me, I think it depends on the degree of liking and the situation of the market.

I might like the blue dial the most but it isn't available and have to wait for long long time. AD offered me the white dial, if I hate it, I will pass but if I like it also but less than blue, I will take it. In the future you can have white dial change to blue dial too.

As has been mentioned in other responses to your posts, I am not sure you entirely get the AD purchasing experience these days. I am waiting on a blue or white DJ 41 at two ADs for over a year. I have other purchases in meantime, but the exact configuration I am looking for (fluted/jubilee) is elusive thus far.

I guess it depends on your definition of "extremely hard." Relative to life's real challenges, I suppose you are right. However, a desirable DJ41 is most certainly not "easy" to get in today's market for many, if not most.

if you get it and look at your wrist every time and think I wish I had the blue face, its a £7750 mistake

The dial is less of an issue than the bracelet. If you want the jubilee bracelet I would turn this one down and hold out for a DJ41 on jubilee. As far as the dial goes, you can always have RSC change out the dial for you down the road.

1. Don’t buy it if you don’t really like it. Especially the bracelet. That’s not an easy change.

2. I don’t think people realize how hard it is to get even a datejust these days. Especially 41mm. Everyone understands the difficulty of a GMT or Daytona, but datejusts are extremely hard to come by these days as well. It’s not the same as a few years ago or even a few months ago for the datejust line, especially 41mm. I always see comments laughing at people saying a datejust is hard to get but it’s true.

If it were $20.00 for the watch, buy the one you don't want. For almost 10K, buy the one you want.

DJ white in 41 looks huge - at least for small wrists is better stay with darker dials.

It’s actually easier to get another bracelet, changing the dial is gonna cost you for the dial AND the full service. A new bracelet is pricey but you can switch and get the both of jubilee and oyster

I got offered a DJ41 with blue dial from AD but turned it down as it was oyster strap and I wanted jubilee, they said it shouldn't be too long before it comes in

I love the DJ41 white dial on jubilee.
In my opinion it pops more than the blue dial.

Give it a few months , as someone posted earlier this is 10k watch . You should get exactly what you want for that kind of money.
