Is the 126331 Wimbledon 41 worth it?

Hello,

Looking to finally dive into my first rolex after almost a decade of watch collecting. My heart has settled onto a two tone everrose 126331 wimbledon dial DJ 41. They're floating around at $17K brand new, double box, papers, warranty, etc. In the current market, is this a good price point? Thank you.

I have one myself and honestly worth is all about the individual. I purchased mines in paris three years ago and its my most worn watch and it fits all needs. I can wear it during the day and wear it for dinner at night. I feel like two tone watches are the most versatile out of all combos but thats my opinion. Sometimes i think of selling it but then realize nothing can replace it. I personally think its a good buy but u should aim for 16k i think u can find one for that price.

I am unsure if it is worth the current price for me, but it is on my radar.

A beautiful and versatile watch.

Great watch. I think you can do better than 17k but if not, the watch is worth it. Great looks, versatility and once you have paid, the cost is in the rear view mirror. Go for it.

I don’t pay over MSRP for hype. If I couldn’t get a DJ at MSRP, plenty of GS that are every bit the watch the DJ is. I don’t pay for hype and the watch not worth in my eyes a dime over MSRP and ad long as GS is out there, likely not worth more than a comparable GS.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I totally understand worth is specific to the individual. I guess what I meant was is 17K a TOTAL rip off? I understand I’m paying a premium over msrp

Rolex.com is your friend. You can configure your datejust and it will give you the MSRP. I like the TT DJ but I am sure you can get it from an AD with a reasonable wait. I know ADs have nothing in the case on most day but i am sure one of your local ones can source a two tone DJ within a couple of months. And you get some history with that AD if you ever want to buy something else that is harder to acquire.

i believe msrp is 13.5k so basically you're in the mid 14s with taxes if you go the AD route. that's only a 2.5k premium, nothing too bad if you actually like the watch. i would shop around and email a few sellers here and go with the best price

i don't think ADs can source wimbledons but i could be wrong. they're the hardest to get dj in any configuration

It's not that bad of a premium.. about 1 year ago there was no premium... so if it really irks you, you can try to wait it out

Is it "worth it"? Not sure what that means, even at a large discount it's not objectively "worth" paying thousands of dollars for a watch. The consideration here is if you like it and have the means to buy it regardless of future value, you should get it.

MSRP varies according to which bracelet you choose for it:

Ah thank you I'd be wanting it on the jubilee. For some reason, I thought the Wimbledon dial wasn't in the configurator hence me not being sure of the exact MSRP. I've cold called a few ADs, but without even getting a sentence in, they said they weren't taking any orders and have nothing in the cases besides 2 ladies DJ or something lol interesting times! I will make another effort this week to call a few more ADs just to try (why not?) I don't mind even waiting 6 months, I of course would rather get it at msrp. Although, I do want the watch, and if those attempts are futile, I also don't mind paying a several thousand dollar premium. Ive seen way worse so I don't feel as bad haha

Again thank you all for the helpful replies.

I'd try to get to varying ADs if you can. If that's not worth an effort to try to save then the grey approach is reasonable.

Look at our Trusted Sellers. I think DavidSW has one on the site. Call and have a conversation with him or one of his staff and make an informed decision. You will have a hard time cold calling AD's but it is your time.

I agree - although it may seem like every single Rolex is hard to get right now - there may be an AD who does not have any registered interest for this and you could find one pretty quick at MSRP.
