Tudor Black Bay Chrono Panda - Next Piece
Anyone with this piece?
AD had the Black dial to try on after my GMT purchase. Thinking White dial as nothing else in my collection covers that feature. Nor do I have a Chrono. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Man, so just a heads up this piece is also waitlisted still. I have one on order from an AD since mid July so just be prepared for a wait if you don't want to go grey. From what I've heard most Tudor launches are basically 1.) Most ADs get like 1 piece at launch. 2.) Nobody gets any pieces for 6 months while Tudor ramps production. So since this launched in April hopefully soonish they'll be more readily available. Otherwise I've heard nothing but good things about the white dial, with some rare exception of some folks complaining that with the opaline dial and the chrome hands sometimes it's hard to quickly read the time? I've also heard from other folks that that complaint is overblown so YMMV.

Cannot wait to see one in person. Amazing how much better (Different) these pieces look in person vs catalog/online/images. Especially certain colors. Current: - 16622 & 18078 - Tudor GMT - 79830 Past: - Sub Serti Silver 16613 - Sub SS w/Date

Agree and I think that’s the Tudor to have out of their catalog. Some of the videos on YouTube capture the white dial perfectly and it’s actually a silver-ish/white. I think it’s gorgeous.

I have the white dial Daytona so I prefer the black dial Tudor Chrono. I’ve seen one in person and most impressive.

I love the panda and have been waiting since May/June. I stopped into my a couple weeks ago to check in and ended up buying a Seiko. As I was checking out, my AD said they're starting to get some Chronos and had one in the back she let me try on. Unfortunately, that one was spoken for but it looked fantastic in the metal.
I can't wait to get one myself! For reference, I have a 7" wrist. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk |

The snowlake hour hand blocking the sub dials is not ideal.

I love mine. I got the first one my AD received. I called at the right time.

It’s a nice looking watch. Tudor seems to try and be a Rolex a bit. With the waitlist.

I just tried on the black dial version last night, it’s a great watch. If you don’t yet have a Chrono or a white dial in your collection then it sounds like a great next addition.

I was able to get the white dial right when it was released. It was on the nato, which I subsequently changed to a Rubber B. I was able to compare the white dial to the black dial side-by-side. The hands on the black dial are much easier to read, but I thought the white dial version looked better.

Got one a couple of weeks ago and dumped it shortly thereafter. Still too thick of a watch. Have never been thrilled with any of the Black Bay models aside from the 58. Just too thick for no good reason.

I just can't get into this model due to it having just the 2 subdials. It's more natural for a chrono to have 3 subdials without a date. For pandas then the dream would be 16520 white dial or one of the Speedy pandas.

Love this release. Most likely my next purchase, if I can find one. Daytona is not in my budget but this one is. Outstanding.

Picked one up on release and love it. You won't be disappointed. I went for the black dial after seeing both.
The white is easily more popular speaking with my AD several months on. |

I don't like dials with chronos due to the cluttered look they creates and also low readability but Tudor managed to avoid all that with this design. Brilliant design that reminds me of Paul Newman Daytona. I would buy it over the new Daytona. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Almost picked one up in Naples, Fl this past July. Tried on the black and white and liked the black version better. Was offered a below retail price and I ended up passing. Kinda regretted it then but ended up with a PAM 1313 blue dial which I now prefer.

My Monaco politely disagrees that Chronos shouldn't have 2 subdials!

I have the white dial and think it is much better than the black dial, I was very
lucky I ordered it mid July and got it the end got it the end of October. I also ordered the new Explorer, which I do not think I will be getting any time soon. Black or White dial, both are great. Tom Foley |

I too recently picked up the white dial and it’s absolutely fantastic! Tudor did such amazing job with this watch! And yes, white dial is much better than black.

I was just called by an AD earlier today and asked did I want the one that had just arrived. This was the third time. Just not a watch that I care to own.
