I want to know what you'd choose.
Just curios what your choice would be. This isn't about investments and I know "it's my decision" but I'm just curios what the forums preference would be.
I own the 16570 and 116619lb but am thinking about consolidating and adding a 126710 blnr on jubilee. I bought the WG Sub on a whim and I do like it but I wear it probably 2-3 days a month, otherwise it's in the safe. I have no sentimental attachment to it and am starting to think I should wait for a big milestone Birthday, Anniversary, etc. to treat myself to a Rolex PM watch. I have a pretty large collection of modern Rolex sports watches and they just fit my lifestyle really well. If I did this I'd still have: 114060 116610 lv 126610 ln 126610 lv 214270 216570 polar 216570 black 116710 ln 126710 blro Also considering (eventually) adding a DJ (fluted/jubilee) and a slate dial Yachtmaster with the funds coming my way.

I’d choose what I would want, would enjoy, and would wear. PM me if you decide to let go of the LB.

With such a large collection, I'd say less is more...

I’m a great fan of the 116619LB and in the same time I never understood the BLNR. The least attractive GMT imho.
If you don’t wear your Sub why keep it

You should have at least one PM watch, so keep your WG Sub.

I could see the BLNR as you have both color explorers. Both of the GMTs could make sense. I think the PM makes more sense but now is a great time to dump it if you’re looking to buy something else.

I want to know what you'd choose.
What about replacing the Smurf with a WG GMT BLRO and swapping the SS BLRO for the BLNR ?

Sell the WG sub, skip the datejust, and get a daydate.

I would keep the 126610lv, pick up a BLNR, either keep the sub or pick up another precious metal model.
I'd probably sell the rest, too many similar sport Rolex models. Thats just me though! |

I would keep the Smurf (?) and the exp II (5 digit) both are favorites for many reasons… I would let everything else in the collection go before either of the above.

I’d keep the Smurf and add BLNR on oyster. I would let the 16570 go towards the BLNR.

This. I never really cared for the jubilee.

If it were my personal choice…
I’d keep 1 PM. Or at least….trade out for another PM of a different look, color, etc…. |

I'd keep the PM Sub. You've got a great collection of SS References as is.
Personally, owning a BLRO I couldn't see myself ever wearing the BLNR. |

The PM should be kept, imho. Not much of a fan of the stark BLNR.

I have gone from multiple PM watches to just one and back again as my collection of Rolex watches swells and constricts based on wear and personal choice. Just traded two SS Rolex watches, Blue Dial SS Sky-Dweller and a TT Submariner 16613LB, for a WG DD II and now I have two again and thirteen total. Too many to routinely wear and enjoy, for me, and I do spend a lot of time wearing my Tudors/Omegas/Seiko's. Solution, I will probably move back to some type of consolidation that gives me more PM's and less SS as I do not want to cash out. Time will tell. I would advise taking a minute and pausing to consider what you want and what would get significant wear and pleasure. I would also shop all of my watches to see what the values are so you can make an informed decision. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Personally I don’t think I’ll ever sell my 116619, it’s just awesome

Appreciate all the input. A few more of my thoughts.
Most of the collection is tied to life events i.e., birth of my son, starting my own business, first Rolex, gift, etc. Only ones i would ever consider moving would be the 214270 and 114060. As far as the Day Date suggestions, they’re great, I’ll own one at one point. But I’m not in a rush to get into one and I’ve always said it’ll be reserved for my 50th birthday. The weight of PM is definitely a factor for me and having the glidelock is a huge plus. So Francesco’s suggestion of swapping it out for a WG GMT doesn’t excite me, plus i just got the SS BLRO and prefer it over the PM version. It’s also tied to a cool story already so it’s staying. I like the WG sub i have but almost feel a little guilt just buying such an expensive watch only because “i liked it” i really like to reward myself or tie watches to big life events so i feel like the next PM watch should wait and “be earned” (if that makes sense). Not going to jump to any decisions as my impulses have cost me a lot in this hobby. Just wanted feedback and thoughts from other collectors who have done similar.

Don’t know if you’d want to do this, but I think the original platinum dial YM would fit into your line-up nicely.
