Any Breguet fans?

I personally think Breguet makes some of the most elegant dress watches out there but I rarely get the opportunity to see or talk about them. One of my favorites is the Classique 5157 in rose gold.

Any fans of the brand here? Please post pictures if you have them...

There was a guy. I don’t think he’s here anymore though. He loved buying expensive crap and keeping it in the box for years.

I’m a fan, Breguet is as good as the big three, IMHO, but doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

I don’t own one, but I have been following a lot of their watches and admiring the various styling and craftsmanship put into them. One day I will add one. They are really beautiful watches though in my opinion.

Love my WG Breguet 7097.

Breguet has been pigeonholed into black tie event dress watches. The truth is some of their watches, especially those in the La Tradition collection with avant garde design, can be dressed down and worn as statement pieces in casual wear. They are surprisingly versatile.

Very undervalued. Awesome watches. I’m going to pick up a marine soon.

I think if I had to pick a favorite brand it would be Breguet or GO. Absolutely love everything they do have two of the 5817 Marines and can't believe what you get for the price I mean compare it to the obvious I got both for around the same price as one Sub on secondary it's insane should be the exact opposite.

Breguet is great. I am a big fan of their Tradition line and their older marine line.
Their guilochet dials are amazing.

Love Breguet. Tremendous value and very versatile. The guilloche dials are gorgeous. I have two, but would add more if funds allowed!

I’ve always wanted to love the brand. Have tried on many of their watches. The lugs ruin it for me every time .

Their finishing is done by hand too vs AP Offshore and non-complicated Pateks. Even FPJ has machine marks on their pieces that you will not find on a Breguet.

Dials are hand guillloched too instead of stamped.

I can’t think of a better way to access haute horology?

Yes-it's the hand guilloche that I love. Here is a nice piece about that for those that haven't seen it.

My 3137 with an almost unchanged design dating to the Breguet No. 5 pocket watch from 1794.

You will certainly find a Breguet lover in me. Can't figure out for the life of me why they aren't in the same conversations as the holy trinity and ALS. To me they're right up there in their own traditional way. The definition of haute horlogerie to me is hand finishing, and there's so much to like about them. Swatch Group is really doing Breguet a disservice by not putting them more 'out there'. Who knows, perhaps that's a good thing. While everyone goes on waitlists for the same steel Rolex, I'll happily enjoy my new Classique 5177 that I picked up this month!

Yes and to the article’s point… you can really see the difference between hand and stamped guilloche. True guilloche plays with light a lot more and looks sharper/more textured.

Wow- huge congrats on that.

I love that watch and have lusted after it for a while. Those numerals are just incredible- so much character.

Would love to see a few more pics, especially in sunlight if possible.

Agreed completely, and I picked up the same watch. Super happy with it, so satisfying the way the numerals shine against the deep blue enamel, love the guilloché rotor and the way they added two internal angles in the movement as a little nod to those who know.

The top picture is the classique 5177 and the bottom is the previous generation marine chronograph, 5827.
