Watch decisions
Been offered either the 126619LB Rolex Submariner WG with blue bezel or a 126719BLRO GMT white gold with blue dial; both are arriving this week and I need to pick one. Both on my wish lists I can always get the other later on. My initial thoughts are the GMT as it will finish of my GMT collection in all metals and this year looks set to be busy with traveling for myself.
The Sub I am debating as I am still tempted to go for full yellow gold with blue dial but have not seen it yet in person. Just after thoughts from people who own both or either. I already own other PM watches so am fully aware that the gold is soft and will mark and have learnt to live with this. This will be a daily wearer as I intend to wear my watches more this year and enjoy daily rather then have them stashed away. This is also part of my long term plan to switch my daily wearers to Pm variants where feasible. Some stock photos. I have another TT submariner to pick up this week so makes not picking the sun this time easier.

of those two, it would definitely be the GMT for me. while the 126619 is certainly nice, i just think it pales in comparison to the original 116619. but can't really go wrong here. good luck and enjoy!

That GMT is the dog's. I have the SS version and if my AD shoved that under my nose I would have great difficulty refusing.
Compared to the 11 series WG version, that 12 series WG sub just looks ordinary. But if you like it, that's all that matters. |

I love the WG sub and actually prefer the SS Pepsi, so I opted sub. I have the Smurf btw which I also love but I've been drooling over the new model you've got here also.

I would prefer the blue bezel Sub. Pepsi bezels are common these days due to the SS variant of the GMT. The blue bezel sub will always be a WG sub.

I get the rationale but I’m team Sub! I don’t know PMs well, but never much liked the GMT on PCL Oyster.

My vote goes to the GMT. I love that blue dial! The GMT complication would also be a handy feature for me.

The long clasp on the Sub is a deal breaker for me.

I much prefer the GMT on this one, if it was the Smurf I’ll vote for that one instead.

A chemically inert material makes a lot of sense in the marine environment. The best material for a diver is gold

It’s really a matter of personal preference. For me it’s the GMT no questions asked.
