Will a steel bracelet from the 5167 fit on a 5164? I know the case is thicker on the 5164 and there would be a gap like on the Rubber-b...anyone try it?

I have the 5167 on a bracelet and also added the strap. Couple weeks back i changed to strap and i noticed a big gap between the case and strap at 6. Its not flushed like at 12. I see the same "issue" on many pics here. I bugged the hell out of me so i changed it back to the bracelet even do i'm not a fan of it.
Is the gap at 6 realy normal?

Using original oem strap. But again, i see the same issue on many pics here (original straps) so it seems like a common issue.

Have you try switching the strap around.....

Meaning putting 12 o'clock side on 6 o'clock side & 6 o'clock side on o'clock 12 side.....

That way we know if the problem is on the case or rubber......

I'll try. I bought mine on the bracelet and got the strap and clasp afterworths. The strap didnt came with springbars so i used the ones from the bracelet. Maybe the springbars are different, thinner? That would cause the gap. Can anyone confirm?

I remember my Speedy for example The bracelet and strap's springbars are different.

Edit: Just found a thread where someone confirmed the springbars used for the strap and bracelet are different. So thats the issue. I will contact my AD and order strap springbars.

The spring bar on the bracelet and rubber is different......

Yes, you will need a new spring bar for your rubber strap.......

The rubber strap spring bar is longer........

You didnt help. I figured it out myself. Joking, you tried do so thank you for that. Disagreements are perfectly fine. Things will get boring if everyone agrees on everything. We will see what the future brings. I hope you are right.

So the gap between the strap and case caused by using the bracelet springbars. Weird the correct ones didnt came with the/my strap. Based on some of the pics in this thread i think others are using the wrong springbars as well. So the fix is to get the correct ones for the strap.

I purchased a bracelet version 5167. And purchased a black strap and deployant clasp from the dealer. The strap came with extra appropriate spring bars.

OP, do you also happen to know since which year bracelet and strap have become interchangeable on 5167? I have read here or elsewhere that the swap did not work on the early pieces. Thx!

Yes, I do & your welcome......

Geneva Seal: 2008 to early-mid 2009 they are not direct interchangeable.....You will need to DIY modification on the rubber strap, which is no big deal.....

Late Geneva Seal: 2009 are interchangeable....

All Patek Seal: 2010 to current 2022 are interchangeable....
