Why doesn't Rolex Make a GMT/Chrono?

I would love to see Rolex make a GMT/Chrono. I wonder if they looked into adding a GMT module on to their 4130 Daytona movement or add a Chrono module to the 3135 such that you could also keep the date. I would love to see that matched up with the GMT Ceramic bezel.

They would definitely have to increase the size to 44mm or close. I just found a picture from Basel 09 that Omega is coming out with this very configuration;

If Rolex would just slap their name on one of those Omega Broad Arrows . . .

Actually, Omega had one of those years ago... in the early 70s. It was called the: "Flightmaster"

That's a whole new movement that doesn't exist yet. It wouldn't necessarily be bigger but it would definitely be taller with another plate maybe.

While we have the crack pipe out why not go ahead and add a date to it too?

Ok. But no reason to add any complications to the movement. Just add a rotating bezel.

A 7750, as good as it is, doesn't scream Rolex to me.

Personally I think Rolex could do the same thing in a thinner package than the 7750, which is a very tall movement.

I was lusting over one of these years ago:

Put this together myself but couldn't live with it being so huge:

Tell us more about the chrono you put together. Is that a custom order? Is a 12 hour bezel an option?
Thanks in advance,
dP

The movement was sourced out of a Hamilton Mount Vernon. The case and face was sourced from Otto Frei and I got the red hands off ebay. Think the other hands were also ebay and were daytona look alike. I put it together so see how I would get along with this stuff (possible retirement career path maybe) and I don't know if I have what it takes to be a watch maker.
