Patek AC because it's their classic complication and an 1815 chrono because it's the best looking chrono movement out there.

Lange has a larger movement that takes up more of the caseback, it's also a microrotor so nicer to look at plus the case is 1.5mm thinner as well. Perfectly balanced with no aesthetic design flaws. For me the Lange takes the cake in this battle
I agree with this. Personally I like the button available to push to advance the entire movement instead of using a tool on the PP. I think the moonphase disc is much nicer on the ALS as well.

Patek's overall case design is more intriguing with the concave bezel, scalloped lugs. However, it wears quite large on the wrist because of lug length. May not be a con for you though.

While on paper, I like the ALS better than the PP; if I was in the market for an annual calendar I'd go for the 5205g. Primarily because I already own two other ALS (1815 chrono, lange 1) and wouldn't want another Lange in the collection. PP's a nice contemporary design, despite a lot of quirks, and probably the most interesting PP dress watch design for me. So I'd probably go with the 5205 as my first PP.
