15450 too small

Tried a 15450 (two tone) few months ago at a boutique, looked way too small. Over the weekend I had the chance to play around with 15450 and it doesn't look that bad.

Granted, thanks to this wonderful & competent Government the gyms have been closed for more than a month, so I did loose some weight/mass, including around wrists. Two months ago a ROO looked ok on my wrist...

Is the 15450 ok for my wrist? Even my sub looks big now...

The 15450 aka Pearl looks perfect for your wrist and yes the 114060 does look slightly big for your wrist but that is relatively speaking.

That 15450 looks perfect on you. In fact, I don’t think it could look any better! Great watch, too.

37mm is more dressy, but I think it's fine. If you think a watch looks too big in pictures, it's usually because you're taking the picture with your phone from up close, which makes the watch look extra big. take a picture of yourself from a standing mirror and you'll see how it looks

You need to take a picture much further out or in a mirror as these close ups make the watch look much bigger on the wrist than at normal viewing angles.

I have a relatively small wrist (6.3 inch) and felt the 15450 looked too small on my wrists at normal distances, whereas looked ok at “wrist shot” pics. I ended up going for the 41mm 15500.

This is the challenge with threads like this. I think a 41mm Royal Oak looks crazy big on anything less than a 7” wrist whereas to others it works perfectly.

So OP - it really does come down to your own personal taste, and critically, you’re personal style.

This.

With 6.6 inch flat (and wide) wrists, I cannot do 41mm but both 39mm and 37mm work.

Hmm, the picture might give indeed the wrong impression. I was surprised how small the 15450 was in person. Maybe because I'm used to 40 - 41mm watches...

On a side note, the RO felt a bit fragile. I'm looking for a new sports watch (daily beater) to add to my Submariner. My Sub has been in some extreme situation (snowboarding, rock climbing, surfing, tinder dates, etc.) in the past 5.5 years and never broke down. Although the RO is a sport watch, might not survive too long on my wrist. ROO might be a better option for me...

I think the overall size looks ok, the bracelet taper on the 15450 makes it feel smaller than it is. 15300 is the sweet spot.

This may help OP - how various different watches look on my c6.3” wrist, including 2 x 15450s

15450 too small

15450 is your size. It's a timeless watch so fitment should be classic and not oversized IMO.

I think it looks great on the dial side. Kind of depends how you feel the taper at the clasp side... sometimes it's just a matter of getting your brain used to seeing the size on you. regardless, i think it looks great!

Thanks Token74... Your watches look great on your wrist. Very helpful. My wrist size is currently 15.8cm. Two months ago it was 16.5cm.

Thanks all for the replies will have a chat with the staff at the AP House to see what my options are. Although my preference is still the ROO, more robust...
