SS Sub or SS GMT IIC
Hi,
I am thinking of getting a new watch... I have always loved Subs but there are a lot of people crazy about the GMT IIC as well. I think the bezel on the new GMT is a little busy but on the other hand the band and clasp are amazing. Which ones would you get? |

Love the GMT C, you can find great deals right on our classifieds section rather than buying new for 7k plus.

I'm a huge classic Sub fan....so I voted that way. But, I think the GMTIIC is a beauty as well. Perhaps one now and one later down the road?

Voted with my money when I had the choice almost a year ago, and got the GMT IIc. Still loving it but am considering the new TT Sub when it is available.

I prefer the 16610's current case (obviously). For me a GMT-IIc would be an addition later.

I voted for the new Sub because I already have the GMT II C....whoops sorry.....I should have voted for what I thought you should buy.....the GMT II C speaks for itself, or should I say the members of this forum over the past year or so at least do.....there has been so much acclaim for this watch that it just beggars belief....it is truly one of the best products Rolex has ever produced....I would say that the mass populace would give it an overall vote of 95 to 97%......some folks have minor gripes with the bezel colour or the size of the font or the fact that it only has 24 'notches'.....and there's the old "PCL vs BCL" argument that pops up every so often.....but on the whole.....it is an absolutely fantastic piece......anyone that doesn't have one yet, get one, as soon as you can....

New sub... I love the white gold - I tried one on a few months ago - simply amazing! It's a hint at what we have in store for us when the SS comes out next year!

Pick either one, I'm sure sooner or later you'll want the one you didn't pick...and maybe more.

This is interesting... On this forum it is a clear preference for the GMT IIC at 53% however I posted the same question on another forum and it was 44% Sub and 36% GMT IIC.
