Purple Dial Timepieces

We've had blue, salmon, perhaps brown dials... is purple starting to move forward too?

If you have a purple dial timepiece post pics here

That aubergine purple on the Datejust 36 and lady datejusts is a very nice color. Done right on the DJ41 or DD40, I'd definitely consider it if Rolex put forth that option. Very elegant color.

Niiice! Yeah, the 'shade' of purple does matter as well. Here are two more examples of purple dial timepieces.

Not a color I'd wear with clothing or a watch but I have to admit that the dial on that Laine is really, really nice!!!

One of my favorite colors. If executed right, purple looks great on a dial.

Blue is the new black. Green is the new blue. Maybe purple will be the new green!

Purple is my wife's favorite color and it can be great on a watch dial. Although it may seem out there, purple is actually quite versatile and goes great with black, grey, brown, and green.

Anyone else get serious Alice In Wonderland/Cheshire Cat vibes from the Laine?

Ha! My wife/muse mentioned that actually. Glad you like it, the Laine is for her to wear.

Whereas the MB&F has a Willy Wonka vibe about it imho.

LOVE purple. Favorite color. Next watch will be the Datejust with the Aubergine dial and the diamonds at 6 &9. Oyster with fluted. Some call it a chick's watch. I just want to call it mine!

Purple is my favourite colour. This is my 1999 Omega Seamaster Pro 300 2213.80 in Ti. Only some of these originally bright blue dials patinaed to an amazing purple. This was my first decent quality watch (new to me 2017) and even though I've accumulated a modest collection since, it's still my most worn watch. The dial is 41.5mm, the Ti is featherweight at 108 grams (including bracelet for my 22cm /8.6" wrist), and best of all it's only 11.8mm thick: It's so comfortable! This period was SMP300's hayday imho, and it's more common steel 2254.50 brother is almost legendary. They've got neo-vintage romance with its 1960's 'big triangle' dial layout. It also has modern convenience, with the Omega Caliber 1120 based on the ETA 2892-A2, one of the finest movements ever made by Omega’s sister brand. The movement is a COSC-certified chronometer, with an upgraded 23 jewels, additional rhodium plating, 44 hours of power, and beating at 28,800vph. The last of the pre-co-axial movements means no unnecessary thickness. I love this watch.
(oops, had trouble resizing my photo, so stole one similar)
