How to sell on the Rolex Forum

Hello All,

I have an incoming DJ36 slate dial from an AD. Sadly, I will have to unload a watch. Thinking about listing/selling on the forum. I have never done so and was here mainly to shop. What is the process of selling? More specifically, what is the most common or safest way to conduct the transaction? Assuming in-person is ruled out by the buyer. TIA everyone!

All that you’re required to do is explained in a sticky in the classifieds.

Without references, your best bet is to offer it to a trusted dealer here. You’ll send him the watch and get a wire transfer the next day.

The boutiques in classifieds are the best bets.

Yep. Gonna be tough to make a sale here with no history or feedback. Sell to a dealer. Keep it safe for you.

Thanks for feedback! Is that generally more cost effective than ebay and the ebay fees?

You kinda do what you did describing your watch and wait for DMs from buyers.

You don’t need history you just need honesty and being a bit smart. Seriously it’s not that complicated.

Contact several Trusted Sellers and see what is the best you can get for the watch. There is risk in selling it yourself and the difference may not be worth it. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Sell to DSW or Takuya. You will take a bit on the chin on price but it will be quick, painless, no scams, no BS and you will be on your way. They will send you a label paid for, you box it up and the next day you will have your money.

Unless you were on here for years with thousands of posts you are going to get the same for it anyways as NO ONE will pay you the "market price" based on this.

Depending on the model I would look at consignment instead of selling to one of the Trusted Sellers. You will make more money that way.

I have a similar question as the original post. I've been a member since 2012 however I do all my posting on Watchuseek. I'm a 2022 Pledge Member and I want to list one of my rolexes. When I try to do so, I get an error saying I can't post a link without 10 posts. I haven't included a link, I simply tried to attach pics of the Sub. Then I tried the sales posting without even attaching pics (I tried to preview it) and got the same error message.

Any advice? Thanks

Hold up. Think I figured it out. I had an email address in there and a phone number. Not sure which was the culprit but, after I removed those, it worked.
