Are 36mm daydate hard to come by?

Just chatted with no less than 10 ADs last 3 months and they all expressed stock on 36mm DDs are far and between. Is that a demand issue or they really don't make many?

Why in China? Are they not popular elsewhere?

My guess is Rolex is not making many. They seem to love doing that while everybody thinks demand is through the roof. Demand would be through the roof if ADs got them regularly and they flew out the door. ADs tell me they are very rare.

Every AD I have spoken to says they just don't see them and may be years wait even for diamond customers unless you will take any dial that gets allocated.

I think this may explain why even some of the top grey dealers don't have desirable, if any, DD 36.
