Best of both worlds - Tudor Black Bay 58 on a 93150 bracelet

I was messing around the other day and noticed that the endlinks on the Tudor Black Bay 58 are very similar to old non-SEL links, where the first centre-link does not dip into the second link, but rather has the notch into which that little 'half' centre-link goes into.

So I played around a bit and found that I can put a 93150 bracelet onto the 58. It wears very well. Because the 58 is already very well proportioned (and wears the most like a vintage Sub out of anything in Rolex/Tudor's recent history) it genuinely feels like I'm getting the best of both worlds here.

On the flip side, with 280 end links I'm actually able to get the Black Bay bracelet onto my vintage 5513 as well (though Rolex springbars do not fit through the centre link in the 58 bracelet so I was using regular 20mm springbars which unfortunately are too short to reliably hold the bracelet onto the 5513).

Here are some photos and I've also filmed a short video as well to show its wearability.

I find this makes the 58 really feel like a perfect 'modern vintage' watch. It feels a lot like an early 5 digit Sub, but with no crown guards and a svelte & flat profile it really feels like I'm wearing a reincarnation of a big crown Sub.

What do you guys think?

I know my video doesn't do it justice. It gives me the impression I'm wearing a 50 year old Submariner, but one I'm not worried about banging around, showering or swimming with.

Here's another photo. Note that these are 58 end links and 93150 bracelet. Look at how the brushing/finishing is identical. I quite dislike the fake rivets on the current Black Bay bracelets (and how the links are staggered rather than gradually tapering on the 58) so this is perfect IMO.

Sounds like you are enjoying it! I know I really like both of mine...wear them with suits and fishing, very versatile. One of the best things about these new Tudor’s is that most threads are of people enjoying them. Nobody seems to be wrapping them in plastic and putting them in the safe in the hopes that they will find their retirement! That alone is a big win...wear and enjoy

You're exactly right. That's how I feel about my 58. I wear it and don't care. It's a big piece of why I enjoy the 58 so much. It reminds me of 5 digit Rolex. No flash, no shine, no worries.

I really like how it looks on the Rolex bracelet. Almost a throwback to the days when Tudors had Rolex bracelets. Also, even thought the 58 rivet bracelet is comfortable and I like the look. It does pull on my wrist hair at times. Never had that with the oysters.

bought the 58 on leather as simply can't locate a bracelet version in this part of the world... but looks like i will still need the 58 end links to make it work..

It works best with the 58 end-links. The main reason I didn't use 580 end links (that came with the 93150) is because those endlinks are meant to be used with lugholes. It would be very difficult to get the bracelet off without lugholes.

I actually tried on a couple of bracelets, and the closest was the one from Speedy Pro... it dropped in nicely... but the mid case of 58 was too thick for it

That's what's nice about the Tudor (But will always be worth about what you paid for it. Heck, with a Rolex bracelet you can probably sell it for more.) It doesn't have any inherent collector value so you can mess around with it a bit. Whereas everything on a Rolex is tracked and appraised.

After messing around with a few aftermarket bracelets with folding end links, I tried on the bracelet off my BB36.

To my surprise, everything snapped in effortlessly, though tiny gaps from either sides of the end links are apparent given that its 19mm (BB36) vs 20mm (BB58).

I am going to try this out. I don’t have the endlinks as my 58 came with a NATO. I ordered 580 endlinks and 93150 bracelet you suggested. So if I fit this onto the watch, it will be hard to remove the bracelet? Don’t have much of a choice as Tudor is closed and the AD can’t order a bracelet. And I’m totally in agreement that it looks phenomenal with the 93150.

Going to try this for myself, as I wear my 5513 on leather most of the time.

Hoping to get that new clasp that is on that Black Bay Pro (1655 rolex looking one) and put it on this bracelet. Would finish it of for me
