Pelagos FXD

Hi all,

1st world problems... Been "waiting" on an FXD since launch with no luck anywhere (in the U.K) I got a pepsi at retail but struggling to get the FXD at retail.

I notice that the FXD is selling for about £400 above list on the grey market. Would it be wise to bite or just hold off? I don't see these being available in the window at all if I'm honest and would want one of the first few i.e. MN22...

I got the call for mine over the weekend.

They got three in. I got one of them

I have purchase history with chain AD.

I mentioned it in passing at a different store than my usual. SA actually remembered and called me about 4months later.

I think these are going start accumulating at auth dealers soon enough. I’d wait before resorting to grey.

Thanks I've asked since November and no luck. In Dubai there is one available but because of the exchange rate it works out just over list about £400 over list in fact (from an AD)

If I really wanted the watch and the markup was only £400 I’d probably go for it to be honest.

I don't see them at £400 above retail in the UK, more like £800. There is a glut of them appeared on ebay UK recently, all with March and April 2022 paperwork. The ones priced at about £3.8k sell. There are a few chancers asking between 4k and 5k but they are not shifting.

I'm after an FXD too for my next watch, I'm more than happy to sit and wait another 6 months, I reckon they'll then be easy enough to pick up at an AD or retail on grey / ebay. I expect Tudor to release a few new hot models this year and the FXD will thus easier to get.

They eventually open the floodgates with Tudor, then some people lose interest overall because they become too available freeing up even more.

Patience will save $

I think you'll find that those who are asking for £3800 are happy to take anywhere between 3450-3600. One fella in Wales was selling it for 3500 and was ready to accept 3400 but didn't want to ship and collection only.

I would wait - as long as you have a relationship with your AD (good communication, have purchased with them before) I think that you will get the call and have an allocation.
