Chopard Alpine Eagle

Hi All

Sorry if this is stupid question, I’m still naive and short of knowledge being new to the world of luxury watches, with me previously just collecting cheapish weird & wonderful watches I like over the years.

Recently walked past a Chopard boutique, I didn’t have any cards or truthfully the cash to buy anything so I just had a quick stare in to the window.

I’m sure I am not alone in liking the Alpine Eagle, all of them in fact but specifically the blue face and instantly thought that’s a watch for me in the near future. I’d heard good things on the Hodinkee podcast but this was first time seeing it up close.

Anyway I digress, my main question was how difficult is it to get one? Is it the same silly fun & games as per Rolex, with waiting lists, desposits and all that crap maybe even more difficult? Or more just a case of if you have the money and a few people skills you might be able to walk out with one fairly quickly.

Would also love to see pics as I’m sure there are a few here with said watch.

Thanks
Gus

Yes it is cool looking watch. I am thinking buying alpine eagle crono XL. If anybody have info about their calibers...are they ok?

I was offered one a few days after showing interest. They can be had as MSRP with little wait.

I understand this applies only to the chrono XL though, not the blue 3 hander, which is currently quite difficult to obtain

I think it depends on the location of the boutique, but I do not think they are that hard, a friend of mine got one with a month wait.

You can buy right now on c24 new for 10%+ off retail.

Its a great watch OP not only beautiful and finished amazingly well but also imo perfect proportions for the average wrist.

Here’s mine. Really such a value for the money. The dial and texture are incredible. The steel really has an incredible hue to it.

Probably going to be selling this one soon. Have to fund some other incomings.

Is that custom or photoshopped?

I cannot find that dial on Chopard's website. Or any mention of it anywhere else on the internet.

I'm going to call BS on the "maritime dial".

None of the hour markers or print are as sharp as on the other photos.
And look at "III" , 3 0'clock. The hour markers aren't the same size or even straight.

The Maritime is a Cannes festival limited edition of 66 pieces apparently and limited to Chopard coastal cities boutiques. More photos can be seen on this Instagram account here.

Just to correct myself. Heard from a U.S. boutique SA that it is actually a limited production model for the coastal city boutiques. The boutiques will receive very limited quantities of the model each year. Not sure how long will it remain in production.

The new maritime blue is absolutely amazing

Had the chance to try it on...
From what i understand its going to be a limited series (by quantity but not numbered) only boutiques near the sea will get this model and less then 2 watches a year... i was told its already sold out and maybe i will be able to get one next year if production will allow...
