NATO straps - MoD specifications

A link to a UK Ministry of Defence document (apparently public) on NATO straps if anyone's interested:

Well one thing to note is that welded seals are the correct method of jointing. Many sites claiming to supply MOD straps, sell straps which are stitched. What's the problem with that?......well your watch will fall off within a few weeks in a humid/wet climate (Rain forest) due to the stitching rotting.....Just an observation. Ok, still in Droitwich!
