That's beautiful! What a really nice gift. I really like the version of this model in the rhodium plated brass with blued hands.
Their new infinite series is spectacular. They have a tellurium version (the Hybris Mechanica) that is so complicated and so precise that it is error free for 390 years! It is the most complicated movement they have ever produced. It tracks the precise moon position relative to the Earth, the Earth's precise position relative to the sun, the seasons, the Zodiac calendar, time, day, and more. At $570,000 it is a wee bit more than the others but it's just mesmerizing. https://hybrismechanicacalibre590.ja...coultre.com/en Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk |

One degree change in temperature ,gives enough power for two days . Energy : 60 million ATMOS clocks = 15 watt light bulb . Moonphase is accurate for 4000 years. Theoretical lifespan of movement : 600 years. Mechanism designed in 1928. |

Here's their $570k Tellurium. The Earth is hand painted and rotates on its axis once per day. The moon is hand crafted and rotates around the Earth once per day, all while they are rotating around the sun, which is represented in the center of the dial. The moon phase ring around the Earth and moon is made from meteorite. What a work of art. The whole thing is open but encased underneath a glass dome so you can watch all of the gears and see the bellows working. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk |

On their website they go into great detail to show how they craft each component by hand. There's a cool video that shows them hand painting the Earth and putting other pieces together. Once again, congrats. Your model is my favorite of the ones that we mortals can get. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk |

Here's a short video JLC put together all about Atmos clocks. They interview several of the team members in production and you get to see how each clock is produced and assembled. Fascinating stuff. Your clock is featured several times. You get to watch them make the lunar discs, see how they make the dial and various movement components, and then watch them put it all together and test them. Their office view of the Swiss countryside is gorgeous.
